For those who have sync issues please download the wallet again and resync. There is a little update to the RC3 wallet

Done. Problem with sync not solved.

So i have a really old laptop, IBM thinkpad 2673 Grin (dont clown, that all i can afford for now)with Window XP. Anyway, i downloaded the wallet but its asking for java runtime 8. I downloaded it but it's not supported by my operating system, is there any way to work around this
If you are brave enough, install linux. I suggest Ubuntu. It's free and has tons of support online. Not to mention it runs on older PCs as well.

thank you i will try that

So my laptop is a chromebook. Should i download the Unix or window version? Am guessing Unix, but am not sure. Will hate to miss out on this.

Does chromebook have java and does it allow sort of 3rd party apps to run? I'm not really familiar with it but as far as download will go you need the Unix version since Chromebook is linux based OS.

yeah you can either use 3rd party or install it directly thru the developer section. anyway, thanks for the info

Is there an instruction to force the program to update the blocks?

You can delete the database file inside the Semux folder, it will automatically resync the Semux blockchain.

Did not help. I need enter to the program 100 times to start updating the blocks. But when the number of peers reaches 36-38, the update stops and again has to restart the program.

Have same problem. Used beta, rc1, rc2 without problems before and now cannot sync during 2 weeks.

This has been a common issue recently.

  • To fix this problem, please follow the following steps.
  • close any running semux wallet in your network
  • open port 5161 in your router/firewall.
  • delete semux database folder
  • restart computer
  • open semux wallet and sync

PS: If port 5161 is opened successfully you should get 70+ peers. If you are getting just around <50 peers it's possible port 5161 is not yet open.

Looks too hard for wide using. Not many people know how to open port.

What? Opening a port nowadays is pretty straight forward. Google is your friend.

nice project, i downloaded the wallet and joined the airdrop.
is it a weekly airdrop or just one time?
what's the use of "delegates"?

Delegates are validator candidates. Once a delegate gets enough (top 64 ) votes it becomes a validator which can forge/mine blocks and get rewards.

Is it enough to paste just the signature in airdrop form?
How do you find which BTC address was used to sign it?

Today it's not a secret, it's quite easy case, but if people want only "Money" button, I think they have go to another place  Grin

I'm very happy to be able to get into this project. I saw the prospect of this project. I learned Java language in my own way, and I really liked the joy of Java programming. At the same time, distributed application is also a good technology. I hope this project can succeed.
