I never hashed for this...
ShareCoin official exchange: http://sharexcoin.com/
Great news.  We have Share exchange now.  Grin Grin

I suggest creating an official thread for the exchange. It will get some extra attention to the coin and the exchange.  Cool

PoS works perfectly for me.  65k Shares minted ~55 coins for the first time.

Why do i have stake but not balance? What am i doing wrong?

When your wallet has minted some stake, the whole balance used for minting (which qualified by virtue of being 1 day old) is transferred to 'stake' section. When 50 confirmations are reached, everything transfers back to 'Balance'. The ageing process then begins again, but you now have two chunks for every one that minted (halved, but with stake added). When they reach 1 day old again, the wallet attempts to mint more stake.

The minting is similar to mining, in that it is probabilistic, dependent on a combination size of chunk, age of coins and CPU power. All wallets are competing to find PoS blocks, and those chunks with greatest 'weight' (age*size) have advantage, although everything gets there eventually.

I used to sit on the Board of Directors of three different arts groups back in the 90s. I was Secretary on the board of one organization for a couple of years. Sitting back, listening, writing down the minutes.
You realize how people can talk for about 10 minutes and not say anything, lol. By the third year, I was voted President/Chair of the Board. These were non-profit arts groups, but what a great experience.

I still do that, I like to read comments, look things up, invest when I can. I don't always participate and that appears to have been my undoing.

I don't mean to be negative.

I wish all the success to Sharecoin.

Good luck everyone. I know this is a battle I can't win. I will put all my energies to promoting NEM.

Cheers. Make lots of money!

Thanks a lot for the cheery reply!

If you won't put sell orders below any price(0.1btc,1btc,10btc,100btc!), multipool will have nothing to do, but to buy those high valued coins. And miners won't sell their expensive coins for cheap. That's how we all can easy make our free coins worth lots of money. I'm rly missing that preaching dude from first batch giveaway.
Non-owners will also buy it for HUGE prices from us. Nothing to loose, we didn't pay for electricity, didn't HARDLY mine those coins, no reason for dumping coins for cheap. Don't be silly.

Can anyone help me get my coins?

The coins have been sent to my wallet, but I cannot gain
access because I cannot get my wallet to sync.

I have read all of the previous posts but I am not
crypto-wallet savvy enough to follow the steps
stated.

I had downloaded the original wallet and opened directly from
the zip file.

When the new wallet was released, I asked for assistance so
I did not lose my wallet address, and was told to simply
download and open the new wallet and everything would be
okay.

I did download the new wallet and opened it from the zip file.

My original receive address is in tact, but my wallet will not
sync so I cannot access or see my coins.

I see people talking about saving a "wallet.dat" file, but I don't
even know where that file would be located.

Is there anyone kind enough to assist me in gaining access to
my coins?

I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks!

-Brian

Try this:
1.  Make sure you are using wallet version 1.6.0.0

2.  Copy (and backup) your wallet.dat in a safe place. This is the key to your coins, so don't lose it and dont leave it anywhere someone could gain access. The wallet.dat lives in a folder called 'Sharecoin' which you can find by following the pathway  Computer/Localdisk C/users/owner(or your named account)/appdata/roaming  (this all assumes you are using windows7, but many other operating systems are similar).

(If you have other coin wallets, their .dats are also in their folders under 'roaming', so when you backup, it's best to name the  .dat  SHAREwallet.dat or similar so you can distinguish them. It still has to be named 'wallet.dat' to open up in its own folder)

3.  Delete all the files except wallet.dat from 'sharecoin' folder.

4. Open Sharecoin from the exe (from the zip) as before. Because you deleted the blockchain file, it will redownload it from the beginning.

When download is finished, it should be synched.

Remember guys. If everyone's gonna set sells high, buyers will have nothing to do but to buy high. We own the coins, we dictate it's value. Don't undervalue it, it's your rules at the market.

I tried to put 1 coin for sale, does not work.

it says

Maximum Amount: 0.00000000 SHARE

and does not let me put a sell order
It means you don't have enough balance to place order.
Your coins doesn't confirm yet. You'll have to wait for 6 comfirmation.
im not getting any confirmations on any transactions right now
Your transaction will change to confirmed as soon as it get 6 confirmations.
You can always check your number of confirmations in your wallet or on the blockchain:

You have stake because you recently minted some coins. Just wait for those coins to age.
