I am a meat Popsicle
i am on block 18777, switch to server mode seemed to do the trick for syncing, however the coins i purchased from the exchange on the 26th are still in my unconfirmed!!!

Just hit 18773 on all my nodes, so this would seem to be the 'main' PoS chain. Going to try staking.

... and staking. Height 18779 and I 'think' we are good.

The exchanges really can't turn this back on until everyone is up to sync and on the same block count.

You know there is still a giant elephant in the room about how one person had more or was able to deposit/sell more than should of actually been in existence.

Are we forked, are we not forked?  etc.  commenting a line of code for staking isn't going to fix the other weird issues we are having Smiley
i am dling client on a new comp, and will send some coins over to my new address and let you know if network is working, but my client is in sync here and stakeing away without problem. i think all that exchange selling, like i said earlier, was from a big miner. i had 2th/s on this for a little while, and got 3 mil, someone in my pool had 15th/s on this for at least 3 days, they could have easily accumulated those 30 million that were sold on the exchange.

At 18757 right now - max height.

... and 18760+ on both nodes with 10+ connections on each

And the only pool working with miners on it is at block 18808

http://sha.crypto-coinz.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool
Next Network Block    18810    (Current: 18809)
Last Block Found    18808

nobody should be wasting hashpower, read op, its pure POS now

Guessing that the pool didn't update ? Have 18767 now and my own client is almost in sync with the addnodes.
that is my guess, their are probably a few pools in need of updating to the new source code, and i hope the exchanges are on it Smiley
i think if you are mining it is 1SHACOIN per block? but not worth the waste of power
as i say, this coin has become very hard to acquire big amounts now

You guys won't get rewarded everyday from stake! Do some research on how pos works on other coins.  It's the same thing people crying right off the bat they haven't got anything. This is not mining. It is a energy saving way of keeping up the block chain and getting some reward. If you want to mine then pow is for you.

Repeating the same thing doesn't change the fact that some are getting it at LOW amounts and others are not getting it at all. Sure, there is some element of randomness, but by this point in the game everyone should have gotten something. Even one.

I took the smart choice and sold out. The gentleman who bought my coins made me about recoup what I would have got mining a coin that works. I wish you all luck.

ok so i was an early miner of blackcoin, i had about 250,000 at one point. once pos kicked in, i was getting like 1000 coins per day, or something rediculously low. i said fuck that, something is broken and sold out at 2000 satoshi, and we all know what happened their.
people do not realize, POS is not the same as mining, and is why this coin is MUCH rarer than people REALIZE at the moment. i have 3 million SHA in my wallet, at this moment, and am getting about 70 POFMINED every 30 minutes or so at the moment. i dont think its broken, i just think its how it works, and people think POS is going to like double their coin stack in a month, but thats not how it works.
why do you think blackcoin price has been so resilient lately, theirs not that many coins being generated everyday, like alot of pow coins, when they become profitable, all miners switch, and DUMP

so how many gajillion coins do you have to have to get a stake? I'm not gonna blast all four cores mining to MAYBE have it get something every few weeks. I spent a fair amount of electricity to run this failed experiment. If 89k coins is not enough to generate a stake, then what's the point?

The chain seems pretty borked.

PoS blocks obviously can't be successfully pushed to the network when this happens. When PoS chains go wrong they become their own worst problem.

Quite a few old clients on the network still and everyone restarting won't help nodes to find a consensus, if that is even possible.

Code needs to be reviewed.

Anyway, I've set-up 2 addnodes.

Code:
addnode=198.100.127.34
addnode=198.100.127.36

...

Added. Thanks

everybody needs to update to the new wallet, and then have addnodes and the config from the OP, delete everything in %appdata% but WALLET.DAT and config file, and let it sync.
my client is working great now
to me it seems just like a badly announced fork that everyone needs to reupdate so we can all get in sync, but i have lost none of my coins from this, except possible a few from orphaned stake blocks from a cpl days ago, which i will get over, lol

We need the word out quickly on this to let people know that they can get in very cheap and almost be mining from next to no cpu power.

 There is a problem that when the coins go into stake the block chain no longer downloads and that is why the coins SummersideGuy got from an exchange have not been confirmed since he has some coins in stake. Each time I tried deleting the block chain it would still stop at block 18687 but there are more blocks since it tries to download but fails.

The following line shows what block I'm at which is 18687
send version message: version 60010, blocks=18687, us=MyIpAddress:25666,

them=[2001:0:9d38:90d7:10c7:2efb:bb99:8730]:25666, peer=[2001:0:9d38:90d7:10c7:2efb:bb99:8730]:25666
Added time data, samples 29, offset +5 (+0 minutes)
nTimeOffset = +3  (+0 minutes)

This next line shows me how many more blocks are out there which is 18710

receive version message: version 60010, blocks=18710, us=[2001:0:9d38:90d7:14c6:20e6:b47d:5f92]:56068, them=68.102.120.207:25666, peer=[2001:0:9d38:90d7:10c7:2efb:bb99:8730]:25666

trying connection 93.203.237.141:25666 lastseen=36.6hrs
received block 8116205a50c4b9bc878a

Then I get this for some reason....
Misbehaving: [2001:0:9d38:90d7:10c7:2efb:bb99:8730]:25666 (0 -> 100) DISCONNECTING
disconnecting node [2001:0:9d38:90d7:10c7:2efb:bb99:8730]:25666
ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK, prev=347835fdf237bea6a2e1
connection timeout

So there is a problem that once your coins stake the block chain no longer down loads.

Even after deleting and re-downloading the block chain it get only a few blocks then stops.

Here is my first batch of staked coins that have 39 confirmations but still show they can not be spent.
Status: 39 confirmations
Date: 3/28/2014 17:38
Debit: 0.00 SHA
Net amount: -10000.00 SHA
Transaction ID: c60ec28600bcebe907733d511cf25bce1ca09e1047c3d9dc9afa273573dea8df

Generated coins must mature 30 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

repairwallet just worked fine for me. reopened the wallet and all my coin are back.

btw. mediafire link is the old wallet. just mega link is v1.1.0. the wallet itself actually says 1.0.0 but its with the new logo

@SummersideGuy you're getting the wallet synced but not your coins confirmed?

This coin is pretty f'd up, it is always out of sync i am currently stuck on block 18619 says havent found a block in 2 hours now. some times all my 3k are staked sometimes not. sometimes it thinks i am sync'd and i wasted btc on 21k that looks like it will never be confirmed!!

I am going to up another pic in a minute to show how this stupid wallet is all over the place

i had problems with snyching. opened the wallet, everything fine. then unlocked for minting and it started to synch again but the blocks to synch got more and more, sometimes it just got stuck.
i made a shacoin.conf with infos from OT, deleted all files from .../roaming/shacoin except wallet.dat and shacoin.conf, then started the wallet again in server mode, with a "shacoin-qt.exe -server" batch file. now everything is synched and it stays synched.

don't know if its working for your unconfirmed coins. maybe dev got a solution but he is too quiet for a coin so many people are struggling with Undecided
the only thing u have done differently then myself is start the waller in server mode, everything else i have tried. I will try server mode but cant see it making much of a difference
maybe re-download the new wallet, than try all this again, cuz i just did it, and everything is synced up, and lots of POFMINED are incoming now!! Smiley

This is what it looked like after the wallet was fully synced.

And then i unlocked it for minting in the console.
Also run the command repairwallet
And wait......

Then everything slowly turned into this.
