Look it's a better solution for you that you buy coins that you will hold for long term.Of course you need first to look deeper into the project, see it's visions and what it achived so far.Don't invest blindly.

Also, it's good sometimes to take profits, so if the coin doubles in price sell some, but leave the inital investment alone.

Shift is still cheap, if you ask me and it's a good project with a bright future.

Only a small fraction of Shift managed to get out, but there was some ARK, LISK and BTC on the hacked personal PC in cause.

It sounds like they didn't even do basic security like encrypting passwords, I hope they learned from this.

It's a good point of conversation, and it probably won't be forgotten. For example, ethereum also did a rollback of one of its first smart contracts. Ultimately the people buying it will be the judge of whether or not it was a good descision.

Centralized decision ? I don't think so, we all delegates voted positive in a poll to do the rollback, was a decentralized decision in a decentralized project.

So the rollback has been successful. A part of me is glad cause the whole project would be in serious problems and possibly dead. Kudos to the team and their quick reaction.

But another part of me wonders if the devs should have been more careful and stop this at the first place. Devs should be the first ones to be aware of hacking possibilities in crypto.
