Yeah, Shift has a small supply and most people are HODLING, so the price is easily pushed forward.

Today it had already touched $8 

I would be very happy if it would go to $20, that would put Shift a market cap around $250 millions, but it deserves much more.Better a slow price upward movements that a hard pump.  Shift, can easily be a 1 Billion market cap coin.

Ok it took a little bit to sent 0,14 BTC from Binance to Bittrex and in that Time Shift got pusht from 6,60 to $7,20. Waiting time cost me $150.
Hope it will see the $8 this year.

Till end of 2017, the Shift team will release their new website + I think educational animated video/s (not sure about them if they will release them in January or now?) + IT will be hosted on their Phantom product, but on testnet! It will probably pump like crazy, but none one can be very sure, just speculation about the price.Also, you can see some whales are accumulating Shift for some time now.We can expect a big price breakout after the release.

Shift "competitor" Substratum is worth far much more (by market cap) and they don't even have anything to show the community..

Why Shift?


Web hosting is a huge industry.  Decentralized hosting is the next big thing on the web.

Shift is offering FREE web hosting with storage.  What blogger / small time business wouldn't love that?

Shift is building on IPFS protocol which is far superior to HTTP / HTTPS protocol.

This is the first project to make this happen and convert DNS traffic using their project "Jenga" to make it accessible to everyday users without the installation of 3rd party software which current IPFS sites require.

Long term investment for people in the states...This is the one with new tax laws about to take place. 

Proof of stake is amazing and a great passive income.

This coin could easily go $1000+ in the coming years.

I researched a lot of alt coins.. I was a large holder of Verge and Bitbay.  Both mooned. 

This is my favorite long term holder as I earn almost 600-700 coins a year by current calculations.

What do you mean? Why should Shift fork itself? 

Alrighty, that's simple. Let's say you voted for 10 delegates that give out 80% of their rewards. You get your fair share, as long as these delegates are forging. If 5 of them fall out, you don't get any rewards from them anymore, because they don't get any rewards. Only you vote for delegates and it doesn't adjust itself.

That might have been a bit confusing, so tell me if I need to explain in greater detail

Hey guys - great project. Is there any planned coin swaps or forks in the near future?

I have kind of a related question about DPoS in general...

Let's say I vote for 10 delegates. Then let's say I forget to monitor them, and 5 of my 10 fall out of the top 101, so only half of my chosen delegates are actually forging. Does that mean that I would only get half of the rewards I 'should' get, because half of my vote is being wasted (not really wasted, but you know what I mean), or does the weight of my vote redistribute itself to the delegates that are still forging, so that my rewards stay the same?
