I have started buying some Sterlingcoin. I think it's a magnificent name and can be used in many countries not just the UK, also a lot of development has been going into the coin and more updates so soon after launch. The main thing for me is the developers have committed themselves to the project by letting everyone know who they are.

I find it strange that people still support coins that have anonymous creators and end up getting scammed 99% of the time.

People like to buy ICO coins and in the end they will get scammed.

I have no idea why people fall for it all the time and get constantly burnt. We going to make sure the early investors in Sterlingcoin are well rewarded!

Cause people expect next bitcoin with every release and think it come easy.
Creating anon coin is far easier then making a useful coin. Much harder work getting adoption of a coin this is why devs keep switching from coin to the next to make quick money and people get caught with large bags and nothing to use them on.
POW ends in January so now is time to get in, if Sterling get massive merchants with small supply coin price will rocket, if you think I am PnD then look at my post history, I invest in Guldencoin too and price is up 10 times.

Agree with your statement %100~ Smiley

U know what i mean.

I have buy more then 2btc then the price was 7k-8k+... and miner damege my investiment, i say 10 time stop pow fast, more then 1.2m SLG is in network, and this pow is 110,000x 50slg = 5,500,000 in a short time.
Only miner say do not touch, of course.

Well, this is my opinion.

Seeking short-term profits over potential long-term gains ?

Sterlingcoin is designed as a strong asset-based and store-of-value currency with a big focus on building up a real economy with goods and services to support it.

Furthermore, I'd say that you actually made a good investment choice currently - as you probably brought SLG with your BTC before / during the ongoing BTC price decline ?

Personally - I'm mining, staking and making BUY scalper trades because I want to own as much Sterlingcoin as I can + I also require some spare for my upcoming projects.

10k will be cheap in about 4 months and then you can dump your investment as I think you wanted to make quick money. Why dump out into btc when btc keep dropping, now is the time to buy btc cheap and invest in good alts.

I see only 10 active connections in the network with an open stakewallet? seems to me this amount is very low. We need more stakers and less traders to make the network rocksolid

I think because of POW phase you can make a lot more Sterling selling high then buying in low as the multipools dump out, but I will start staking when I transfer my funds.

I completely agree with the above comment. Why would you stake your coins when at this point there are so many coins being dumped so cheap. I haven't got an endless supply of BTC as i just invest what i can at the start of every month. I started my SLG investment with 0.5 BTC and for that at the time i could only get roughly 2500 coins. Now at current price now i have managed to sell high and buy low and now have a stack of over 7500. This is not the time for a large solid network, POS is the time for that. I am just being smart, as i'm sure everyone else is too. So don't be put off by the small wallet network.

EDIT: having said all that, i have just transferred 1000 to my wallet to start staking. So i'm doing my bit for the network Smiley

Another late night for the team:

Matthew is still hard at work on the API and Explorer. These are by far the hardest jobs happening right now as both have been written from scratch in PHP. Even though some people may think that the explorer is just ABE and that we have just styled it differently, it isn't.

Steven is getting the faucet ready for the 20th of October so that everyone can get free Sterlingcoin every hour. He is also continuing to tweak paperwallet.sterlingcoin.org.uk for mobile devices. We will warn you now, the amounts from the 'Faucet' will be a fraction of what you saw from the 'Spacedrop' i.e. decimals of an SLG.

Spencer has added the 'Bittrex Live Feed' and also now a 'Block Explorer' within the wallet. Also he has fixed the styling of signverifymessagedialog.ui, coincontroldialog.uk, optionsdialog.ui and tweaked rpcconsole.ui so that the entry field is easier to read.

When can we expect this new wallets?

When they are fully styled, working, tested and we have Mac, Linux and Windows versions built.

volumes when time and time again they slump to a quick death right after, there is no way we have enough fresh meat piling into the exchanges to explain the volume on these scams and nobody who has been into crypto trading for more than a coupla weeks would touch an ICO/IPO these days

I agree, this is why I am also buying some coins at these prices. People put btc into ICO/IPOs without knowing who the devs are(just crazy). The volumes for SLG is good , if it was too high I would be worried because then it's being backed by PnD groups who are also part of the scams.

My personal opinion on why the price is low.

1. As the user above pointed out, this is not a scam ICO/IPO. So the btc thats being traded is a true reflection of what people think the coin is worth and what they willing to risk at this stage.
2. As another person mentioned on the front of the ANN it says total coins is 63.9 million and at a price of 5500 it would seem risky but there will only be less then 10% of that value when POW ends.

I estimate that 90% of most ICO/IPO is the devs buying their own coins in order to generate enough volume to sucker in some newbies and gambling addicts!

Its the only explanation for the continued 100btc+ volumes when time and time again they slump to a quick death right after, there is no way we have enough fresh meat piling into the exchanges to explain the volume on these scams and nobody who has been into crypto trading for more than a coupla weeks would touch an ICO/IPO these days.
