Just thought we would give you a little update on how the Android wallet is progressing.

We aer currently working on the bgetting the wallet to read the PoS blocks correctly.

The software launches, is stable, downloads the blockchain but isn't 100% just quite yet, but we are close.

Voted sterling.  Only a few off first place!!

49 Votes and in 2nd place.

Stealthcoin are sat with 61 Votes in 1st place.

However we gained around 40 votes the whole time Stealthcoin was sat on 60 votes, so we are looking good.

Do take into account not every block is 50SLG.

PoS blocks are percentages of staked coins by users and are substantially less than 50SLG or even 1SLG.

So the total coins in circulation will be less than 7 million taking that into account.

That is good news, means price will stabilize at current levels for next 6 months before we see upward pressure, I am in this for longterm and planning to use the coin in everyday life like your team has mentioned.

We have been evaluating the rate of PoW/PoS blocks being generated. Seems a lot of people are staking which is excellent.

However because of the high amount of staking going on the PoS block generation means that we are already roughly 7% on our way to the last PoW block.

At this rate we could be looking at ~4 months of PoW.

Does POW end at 6.39mil + instamine? So over 7 million coins?

The last block number of PoW is listed.

Does Sterlingcoin have a auction site I can sell goods for Sterling? Lovely coin name and I hope the team and community make this a success. I unfortunately thought iCoin would be ok and left a sour taste in my mouth but I hope this time things will be different with Sterling.

Yes we have a lot lined up for the community. We will be looking at marketplaces, freelancer hiring and other such services.

These systems mentioned are just the base systems of Sterlingcoin SLG.

We have more planned. Including software for Android, online systems and other bits and pieces  Grin

For some reason Stealthcoin is leading the POD vote?

Let's change this people - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=795723.180

VOTE STERLINGCOIN

come on guys get voting this team of devs deserve 1st place

When will ATMs be launching ?

We had to wait for Sterlingcoin to be listed on Bittrex to provide the ATM with the live price of Sterlingcoin and the LiteBit API will handle the transaction.
Steven Saxton commenced work on the ATM software a few weeks ago and is in direct contact with the Lamassu developer in New Hampshire, USA. This is quite complex software and needs to be stable and tested prior to just putting into general use. However we want to get these out in the UK prior to Christmas 2014.

Other systems release order:

New Transaction Explorer
X13 Standalone Android Wallet
Finish the last bit of coding that is needed for sterlingcoinapi.org.uk
Android & iOS API Wallet for sterlingcoinapi.org.uk
Launch sterlingcoinapi.org.uk
Standalone iOS Wallet

Sterlingcoin Raspberry Pi Wallet Released

hello

I have downloaded the Sterlingcoin-qt to my Raspberry Pi but when i double click on it, it doesn't do anything? Can someone help?

some libs are required to run the qt.you can try these in the terminal.although im not if sure they are all you need.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libdb-dev libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev

this is still not working for me Sad

i even just got a new and clean install of raspian..

has anyone else got this working?

in this case u can try start the qt in terminal and check the error info.
usually it will tells you what are missing.

i get error
error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.49.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i've been googling for an hour and can not fix issue Sad

while thats weird.try install "libqrencode-dev".maybe it will help

Make sure to:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Looks like you may have an old version of boost.

Nethash just shot up! 17GH

And back down.

Spikes are interesting

People are renting rigs when hash drops it seems. When hash is low you get more out of a rented rig, at least that is what I think. Because there's not a lot of people that know how to mine X13 technically, a rental is the easiest way to go. But in my opinion those people are better off buying under 10k satoshi. Which the price seems to be at right now. Anything under 10,000 satoshi is a great price in my opinion.
