UK Citizens will receive 50 Sterlingcoin upon entry to the Spacedrop.
Non-UK Citizens will receive 1-50 Sterlingcoin.

UK Citizens are required to enter their Post Code (not full address) and phone number to receive the full 50 SLG.
(We also check IP addresses and block proxies)

Non-UK Citizens simply enter their Wallet Address and email if they wish to receive updates from Sterlingcoin and they will then receive a random amount between 1 and 50 SLG.

It's not fair to non-UK players, give equal distribution coins to all, why partialities to others.
Yes! if you want this coin to be Global and not just for UK residents, we need an equal distribution to everyone who want free coins.

Indeed we do wish for Sterlingcoin to be global.

The majority of the crypto community are American and the UK crypto enthusiasts are the minority.

What will happen is this.

The Spacedrop will be hit mainly by the America community and they will receive 1 & 50 SLG.

The few UK residents that mine, trade and have interest will also visit the Spacedrop and get their 50 SLG.

But it will be the American community which get the majority of the Sterlingcoin from the Spacedrop.

We have been thinking of putting a time limit on the Spacedrop i.e. 6 months and then shifting the funds over to the faucet which is also accessible by all and accesible once per hour.

Here are the Geo statistics of the website (updated today):

Many thanks for all your positive comments.

The team is currently hard at work on the API and refining the Paper Wallet system.

We're also currently waiting to hear back from MintPal.

If you haven't read the white paper then it is well worth a read, you'll find it in the OP.

found out about this by your post on ocuk forums. looks great. now about taxes. when i do change my btc to something else i was thinking of buying directly from the internet gold coins paying with btc. now gold coins are currency so you don't pay capital gains tax on those. also you don't pay tax when you sell them for fiat. so unless i have it wrong then surely this way would be tax free??

Yes, as you are keeping it non-taxable with that process.

You can't escape taxes..

Indeed you are correct. You will encounter taxation when exchanging from FIAT --> Crypto or when exchanging from Crypto --> FIAT.

We have information outlining the HMRC rulings on tax and cryptocurrency here - http://sterlingcoin.org.uk/uk-tax-rulings/
