How is it that trades are taking place on Bittrex when the wallet is disabled? Anyone know?

I was going to say the same thing. Could Bots still buy and Sell their own positions? They are all small amounts and about the same too. This is the only thing I can think of, but even then it wouldn't post in a wallet.
Two 10,000 volume sells right before the wallet disabled too. Insider trade for sure...

Trades can still take place. Doesn't necessarily mean it's insider trading Wink  I have a few SLR left on bittrex and i'm sure not everyone has withdrawn their slr before block 830000 even tough that would have been the smart move to stake...
Some people might have been unaware of the POST update and hence still have their slr on bittrex
but who knows Smiley

Could Someone help answer a few questions?

How many ''new'' coins will be in circulation after the first few days of POST? do we have an approximate value?
At the moment there are a little over 34 Million. How many will there be in 1 Year?
All of this was easy to calculate with POW but im curious to how this is with POST?
thank you

The target inflation rate (increase in circulating coins ) due to proof of stake reward is 2%. This target is approximately 720,000 coins / year based on a 34.1m current circulation.  The circulation target of an additional 720,000 coins a year due to POST is anticipated to carry on a go forward basis.  As more coins circulate due to granting to solar developers, the effective inflation rate due to POST 720,000 coins is anticipated to decline.

Nick

Thank you for explaining Smiley

Concerning ending PoW at 840000.  If we leave it at 840000, this gives me time to debug the CryptoID issue, and it gives me time to setup another testnet to verify the changes.

On a personal note, I was supposed to leave on a two day rock climbing trip today. I've postponed it to tomorrow, so that gives me time for a much needed break, and all of the above. Wink

I'm ok with whatever the consensus is, though.

Thanks for all the hard work! My vote is to do the thing tonight lol and then go on your trip tommoro  Smiley

why rush things? do you want another messy release ?

We didn't rush things last time and what happened?

so what? thats doesn't change the fact that if steve, the developper, has more time to think about what he's doing we can avoid having situations like this again. It has nothing to do with what happened before.
why are you in such a hurry?

truth=(true?true:false);
All,

Glad to hear all the issues are being worked out.  I just started a new testnet to verify that the proposed changes will work as planned.  I will take a short two-day holiday while the testnet runs and will post the results when I return on Friday.

Thanks everyone for being such a great community!

Note to self: it's not you doing it, it's us.
Something is seriously wrong. Yesterday I was missing solarcoins in my wallet.
Today I wokeup and inststalled the new 2.03 version. I also let the blockchain reload!

To my surprise I now have approx. 60k too many coins in my spendable tab. wow. can someone tell me whats going on. This doesnt make sense there is no transaction for the 60+k i have

Did you also Rescan the wallet?

Yes I did. I really don't understand

I did a fresh installation of my wallet and let it resync and now it works, there must have been some conflicting files in my %appdata%/Solarcoin folder. Everything is fine now

Great to hear that, man!

So am I good to transfer funds from one wallet to another now or is there any danger?

If I were you i would just wait a few more days until we know whats going on. Imagine we have to roll back to block 830000 again and you erased your wallet.dat for the first wallet ( then you lost your coins) .
So for the time being just leave them where they are Wink

I'm still unable to import the private keys from my paper wallets. It's kind of a big deal... Steve, you said you could do it, can you (or someone who was successful on a Windows wallet) please provide a step by step so I can find out what stupid little glitch I'm missing? Thanks. Smiley

OK, well I figured it out. The mistake was that I needed "false" at the end of this line, not "true".

So here is how you do it on Windows:

Go to Settings > Disable Staking and say "yes"

Go to Help > Console

At the bottom type exactly this:

walletpassphrase 'your passphrase' 9999999 false

Then type:

importprivkey theprivatekeystring7y8r9s4gfromthepaperwallet

It will look like it glitches out and the debug window says (not responding) but DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING! It does this for quite a few minutes (like 5 minutes, seriously) and then you'll see it pop up on the main wallet window as a transaction and the debug screen looks normal again.

Great work!
