All,

2.0.3 is available.  Here are the details:

* End-of-pow at 840000. (TBD)
* Cap of 10% on the interest rate.
* Max time weight for coins staking will be 30 days. This will allow holders of very old coins to still earn interest on them (30 days’ worth), and it will encourage more frequent staking since you will lose interest if you have not staked in 30 days.

You can auto-update by going to Help->Check for Update.  Or, download it from http://solarcoin.org/downloads/

The new wallet will require a Blockchain Reload.  If the wallet has trouble downloading it (sometimes it takes several clicks of the Download button to get it started), you can get it here: http://solarcoin.org/downloads/bootstrap.zip

To manually install the bootstrap, shutdown the wallet, copy bootstrap.zip to your data directory and unzip it.  Remove the existing blk0001.dat and txleveldb (folder).  Then copy or move blk0001.dat and txleveldb from the extract folder "bootstrap" to the data directory.

Fire up the wallet...

If you are missing any coins in your wallet, please run File->Rescan Wallet.

Also, if you mine SLR via RPC, please resume mining.

-Steve

Thank you Steve for getting behind this issue and fixing it ASAP. We all appreciate your hard work. Im downloading the new wallet now! I think block 3400000 is good because it will give us time to eliminate any other issues that were not thought about. thx

eidt: By the way on the website it still says wallet version 2.02 and not 2.03

Concerning ending PoW at 840000.  If we leave it at 840000, this gives me time to debug the CryptoID issue, and it gives me time to setup another testnet to verify the changes.

On a personal note, I was supposed to leave on a two day rock climbing trip today. I've postponed it to tomorrow, so that gives me time for a much needed break, and all of the above. Wink

I'm ok with whatever the consensus is, though.

-Steve

Thanks for all the hard work! My vote is to do the thing tonight lol and then go on your trip tommoro  Smiley

why rush things? do you want another messy release ?

"The new wallet will require a Blockchain Reload."
I just installed 2.0.3, it did not "require" the Blockchain Reload.
I will now do it manually, but what happens if someone doesn't?

This works as expected now, the update initiates the Blockchain Reload. Thank you for the fix!
The 2.0.3 wallet updates like a pro!

Thank you for the hard work, man! Take care.

Thank you for all the hard work and great job Steve!
I think waiting for 840,000 for more debugging is a good idea. I will download and run 2.0.3 myself on the 25th. I saw a Solarcoin Facebook post and this type of hard fork issue has happened before in the Bitcoin blockchain early on and they were able to reload and go onwards.

It's picking up something. Smiley Did you click the link and look?

I did. The network stats are showing, but the block height is stuck at 830000.

Wallet is up & updated to 2.0.3, however the RPC API to obtain transactions still fails, so the explorer cannot display new blocks.
The getpeerinfo works though, so the network tab is updated and can show client versions.

Hi all , what about any transfer done from bittrex to my wallet after 830000 ?
Will bittrex refund my account as it was before 830000 ?
Thanks

Is anyone mining on 1.5?

I have the current block height at 831417.

-Steve

Looks like it, yes. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/slr/#!network

CryptoID is currently still broken.  I was in the process of debugging it, then got side-tracked. Wink

Any way we can just start at a early block like 832,000 ?

i don't want to wait another week and then we have more problems again etc

I need to confirm that mining is still going on and at what height.  840000 gives me time to sort it out. But yes, if there's consensus to make it 832000 or 833000, I'm ok with issuing a new release.

-Steve

Thanks i for one vote we do this asap. And if we have problems then it can be fixed asap. I just cant see another week goes by and then we are back at square one.

Thanks Steve!

Please everyone also vote lol
