I picked this coin as a "super secret" coin to accumulate earlier in the year. Very cool to see how you're carrying on this legacy blockchain, psionin.
It became a bit of a guessing game to talk about it indirectly with people trying to figure it out. I hope it create a little buy action and value to encourage some more work on the portfolio app, which I think is absolutely awesome.

Next SMC block halving is in ~10K more blocks, sometime in early April. This would reduce the block reward to 4 SMC.
Going to have to think about how to run the network in the long term when there are no block rewards from coin base. Perhaps having a miner on standby that runs only when a transaction is sent could work. That should be more efficient for a network that doesn't have a constant stream of transactions, than generating new coins all the time. The other option is a fork for a 1-2% tail emission, which could work better. Lots of time to think about this, a few years, but it should be resolved ahead of time.

I don't think so, development is dormant or in a holding pattern at the moment.
There doesn't need to be any development.
There needs to be basic maintenance.
Mining Pool Expansion is a good idea.
Nodes can always increase too.

There are a number of paths for additional features - more analysis metrics, wallet functionality, exchange API hookup and algorithmic trading. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
I am thinking of doing a Quatloo type of "conditional freeware" release, so that the program requires the user to hold some amount of SMC in order for it to run (like 1,000 or 10,000).
One nice aspect of building this program is that I have learned how to develop an app using the Electron framework, which makes it easy to package a release for all the main operating systems (Mac, Linux, Windows) at once.

The only thing that could save this coin is a complete relaunch with no premine. By now someone probably owns over 50% of all SMC's.. nobody is going to fall for that.

How many SMC are held by the State Attorney's Office in FL?
Can you demonstrate on the block chain any of your claim? Simple stuff.
SMC has been traded on the open public market of at least 3 popular exchanges for near 3 years.
Also, tell me what percent of coins like DASH and ETH are held but their top10 rich? All of 2016 was ICO gunk.
AND last but not least what premine?
400,000 SMC in 2014?
Dude that was redistributed ages ago (as launch bounty) and is not even 2% of total #coins.

Looks like a good project if it's aimed at getting a wider user base for cryptocurrency. I wonder what the stats are on the growth of the userbase of altcoins. It does seem to grow every year. Or was this group more aimed at networking those in the know already?
