You should definitely try it.  About updamoon's estimates, now that we switched to Digishield our difficulty changes more rapidly than before.  As an example you can look at the block explorer and scroll down and look at the difficulty chart.  Also notice the difficulty by block table.

thanks - I just did - I profess to not understanding all the nuances of mining blocks, but it's my understanding also they if there's less hash in the network difficulty decreases?

is that true?

If smartcoin is going to start gaining traction trading volume needs to go up. That means people selling and buying... and really we don't have either. If we had a few people trading a couple thousand coins each back and forth, we could get some attention. Poloniex is great with their trollbox. I am willing to move all of my coins (10k) onto the exchange, but without other people buying and selling back and forth it is impossible to actually trade that many coins. I assume that just about everyone that is still active on this forum has as many if not more coins than I do. While there are decent standing buy orders there isn't anyone selling. If we worked together on this we could get new investors in smartcoin and it would benefit everyone. The key here is to place new buy orders once your sell orders are filled. Just my 2 SMC on how to help this coin get traction again.

We have successfully forked and Digishield is here!

This is great news, now we can safely move on to other things, and I should be able to have some time soon for the next round of updates.

As for Mintpal, yeah it's not that important, but it does matter, so if there's nothing for somebody to do, logging in and voting is at least something that they can do to participate.

I'm glad that things are going in the right direction, I'm online now with what I will help

Mintpal is Exchange is only where a large donation to enter
Currently has a bad name, because most of the new coins in it are Pump and Dump

but we must continue to vote in Mintpal, to be visible to all

we should not hide
nice it would be people who know English to write a few articles on the internet there are so many places where you can share them

I hate to bother you with this question but will all of my different miners act like my own little pool or are they kind of all on their own?

if each one is on it's own and I have 5 different 'workers' - rig1-gpus, rig2-gpus, rig3-gpus, gridseeds & gridseed blades - will they all be working together to find blocks (like a little pool) or are they all really on their own - or doesn't it matter since they're sharing a wallet - i.e. - what is the glue that binds??? the common wallet?

thanks in advance

All the wallet cares about is the total hash rate it gets.  The coins will appear as mined in the one wallet no matter which worker found it.  Does that answer your question?

kind of:

would I put the ip address of my windows machine which contains the wallet here?

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

remember - all of my mining machines are linux

and I'm not crazy about putting a wallet on each of them because I don;t know how to put the same wallet address on three different wallets

IH - if you're looking for another pool - talk to the guy at hardcoreminers he's really good

they're in denmark and I've been using them for universitycoin - he's very cooperative and always looking for new coins

good luck

And now Poloniex is down but it seems everything is safe.
It's OK now but SmartCoin is frozen.

Poloniex is back online! Several markets will remain frozen until tomorrow, but coins are all safe.
Poloniex is my favorite Exchange  Smiley

In my experience Poloniex has the fastest customer service, really impressive.

cryptsy's smartcoin wallet is broken and they can't generate deposit addresses - I've been begging them for 4 days now to get it fixed...they keep telling me they're working on it but nothing gets done.

however the buy orders are higher on poloniex - which I like better - their site was down last night and a lot of coins are frozen right now there.

We are in maintenance mode at Cryptsy due to our block explorer going down.  This means trading can continue as normal but no deposits or withdrawals.  Our block explorer has been back up for awhile so we should be out of maintenance mode soon, I will have to check back with them.

Not sure if we are selected correct route but if we want to hit mintpal we should consider to buy some votes.
We are constantly going down in the chart.

We can potentially consider:

Mine SMC and exchange to BTC, dev can create separate SMC wallet address for donations / voting. Additionally, all active members should vote 3-4 Times a day giving all 5 votes to SMC.

That's only my opinion

Honestly getting listed on MintPal is not a priority for me.  I really like Poloniex actually.  But, I vote for Smartcoin as often as possible at MintPal.  Just being on the list improves our visibility.  I think we should all just continuously vote for SmartCoin.  Unless something crazy happened like say we lost Cryptsy, then I would consider that.  Right now what we need more than anything is someone really outgoing who loves social media and has the time to bring some attention to Smartcoin.  Reddit is huge and we under utilize it.  Right now I'm focused on bringing at least one and hopefully two more pools to SmartCoin.  But I'm not really outgoing and I'm not a social media guru.  My background is actually in mining.

The good news is we pulled off the hard fork and Digishield is working great, even better than I expected.  Psionin is a great dev and we can put our wallet issues behind us with his coding skills.  He can quickly fix any issues we might have.  I was really active in making sure everyone was on the correct fork.  Our hash rate is up and the price stabilized and then began creeping up.  I can no longer buy SmartCoin at 200 satoshi like when I first got here.

Also, about raising money.  If we did it I think there are better ways it could be spent than paying for votes on MintPal.  The truth is that we are short on capital and what little we have I would like to make sure we get the most bang for our buck.  I'm sure Psionin has some ideas about this as well.

I doubt anyone is using CoinEx now but they are the only ones who never responded to my request to update to the correct fork.  Therefore I'm removing CoinEx from our list of exchanges for the time being since they may be on the wrong fork in about 3 hours.

Werent they announced as Scam Exchange ?

I don't know if it was necessarily a scam but they are claiming they were hacked and it seems customers are having some difficulty withdrawing their coins.
Not scam. But they are in trouble. You can't withdraw any coins for a month now.
At least they put some BTC and LTC so you can convert and withdraw (at lose normally).

That doesn't sound good, I wonder if they will make it.  And now Poloniex is down but it seems everything is safe.

Block payout  is now halved to 32. Will the value go up?

I believe it will with time.  I has already been edging up as of late.

We have successfully forked and Digishield is here!

Everything seems to be working correctly except Coinwarz has not adjusted to 32 coins/block yet.

edit:  Coinwarz has updated.
