No windows wallet=dead

I suppose it's important to remember that it's still on testnet.
Anything mined will be honored with the full release though!!

Yeah, mining it in test is kind of a pain.  Honoring test mined blocks seems like a good motivator to get people actually testing it.

...Obviously be cautious with binaries, especially binaries posted by unknown or untrusted users.

Sparkle Alpha 4 QT win32 binary

The images are kinda borked, but it works and you can mine. I'll work on it more later if there's any interest.

Test it out:

I don't have a Windows system to test on handy, but it looks like there's a Windows version here:

I wish you good luck. But to make this coin succeed, you need to release Window version.

This is important!

MINING HAS NOW STARTED!!!

https://github.com/sparkle5/Sparkle/releases/tag/alpha.1

Download the client...  to enable mining go to console and type"

"wallet_enable_mining account_to_mine_with true"

Once you have enough connections your computer will start mining.

As Bytemaster suggested I will honor all mined blocks from the test network in the real network genesis block.

No windows wallet?
Need CPU hash or GPU hash?

It's CPU for the moment, and I don't think there's a Windows executable released.

Difficulty is adjusting downward for me.  Can someone tell me if I'm on a minority fork?

I will do the snapshot on December 14th, the anniversary of the American Revolution:

Quote
The first military encounter of the American Revolution occurred, when on the report of news carried by Paul Revere that the British intended to station a garrison at Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Major John Sullivan led a band of militia to Fort William and Mary, broke into its arsenal, and carried off arms and ammunition, 1774

This applies for BTS and PTS.   BitAssets will not be honored, shorts will gain 2x and this is intentional because I want to reward those most heavily invested in BTS.

This will be the LAST block produced on December 14th UTC.   I will not ask any exchanges to honor the snapshot and will ask everyone who wants to participate in it to remove it from the exchanges.  In fact I will go so far as to declare that the exchanges OWN the snapshot of funds deposited in them as an incentive for them to list Sparkle and to reward them for supporting the BitShares ecosystem.

Lets make life easy on the exchanges and NOT ask them to honor this snapshot, but DO ask them to list it after we launch.

Initial Supply: 100M SPK  (Divided among AGS, PTS, and BTS holders)

Is this drop to PTS for current PTS holders or holders during the Nov 5th snapshot?

Good question...

Is there an answer for this?
thanks

+1, sparkles can you answer this?

Thanks to the genius of the AGS/PTS social consensus, I can whole-heartedly support this direct competitor to BTS. Good luck, have fun!

Yeh...sure is nice to be able to know that just by purchasing BitShares-PTS you can always be given a stake in competitive chains without having to worry about losing your most valuable assets in the trade.  Truly Genius.  Once Bitcoiners realize they no longer have to put up primary tokens in hopes of getting a piece of the altcoin pie, PTS will become very valuable.

wouldnt it be easier/desired to reward only to BTS?

That makes the most sense seeing as AGS/PTS were sharedropped BTS.  They are getting double-sharedropped.

exactly my point. also since ags/pts got sharedropped BTS they are basically disconnected from the bitshares project now which is reflected by pts price e.g.
(at least in terms of asset dividends)

Yes BTS should be removed. AGS/PTS are only reason why BTS or any other Bitshares coins exist. There are some AGS holders without any BTS shares! Anybody who donated for Bitshares development after February 28, 2014 are out. AGS donations started on January 1, 2014 and run for 199 days.

no, you are wrong. AGS/PTS holders just recently got a BTS sharedrop because they got merged into BTS.

No, they are not. They need to wait two years for their 'shares'. http://bitshares.org/bitshares-reloaded/

Ok, its not that important.  It's not possible to get it perfectly balanced for everyone.  I support this project.  Lets see what Bitshares + POW can do!

How many delegates (miners) do you plan to have? Will it be a hard limit or can anyone and everyone mine? Will the miners/delegates be voted in or will it be open to anyone to solve blocks?

Good to see the Bitshares toolkit being used.

Anyone can mine, but there are only 101 workers.   The workers do not produce blocks.
