Yes, a coin can live on, even if it's abandoned by the DEV(s).

The ElectronicGulden (EFL) for instance is a pretty good example. That coin is running without any DEV's left for more than a year.

Can you get in trouble for taking over a the project without the DEV's permission? If not I would seriously be interested in doing so with the help of others. This coin has already been established, it's a good coin, it'd be a shame to see it go to waste.

sort no it won't stop working as long as some of us continue to POS mine this coin. Network is running solid with 22 connections and who knows how many wallet open, it is on exchange so yes go for it.
