According what is written on your website in qoute "The healthcare system is failing" is this base on assumptions or on research conducted by HealthSapiens?
"The rich can afford healthcare, while the poor stay sick or die" how can the poor afford to buy this tokens to access this service if they are poor?
What happens when the tokens appreciate in value and out of the reach of the poor?
Hi Notin2, Thanks for your questions.
The main points that hold up the claim "Healthcare is failing" are as follows.
- On average, healthcare spending is increasing at a higher rate than people's income, which is unsustainable.
- Higher Healthcare spending doesn't prove to produce better health outcomes and value. For example, the United States continues to spend considerably more on healthcare than comparable countries, but it is in the lower half of the life expectancy rankings
- The most common model of healthcare is a fee-for-service model, where positive outcomes are not incentivized, and negative outcomes leads to increased revenue
- Healthcare Services aren't available to a significant portion of the population; specifically the portion of the population that could use it the most
- The culmination of all these factors lead to people putting their healthcare issues lower in their priority, due to the inefficiency and costs it brings. Neglecting one's personal health often allows chronic health issues to worsen over time, and ultimately be more costly than if they had the tools to deal with their issues proactively.

Per your comment about the tokens appreciating;
Doctors and care providers set their own rates. If a token appreciates in value, the rates that doctors and care providers charge don't have to be affected by this. The value of tokens on the secondary markets won't change Care Providers $15.00 (just an example) fee for an appointment. If the DOC token is $1, then it will take 15 tokens, but if the DOC token is $30, it would only cost 0.5 Tokens. So the price of the tokens is independent from peoples ability to pay for the services.
