I hope that we will se in future:
-fully anonymous
-private chat, possibility to making chat rooms
-file transfer
-mobile app on Android and iOS with anonymous chat
-maybe voice and video chat?

Talkcoin could be great communicator  Smiley

I see many suggestions for features and improvements, some stupid some cool. We should keep record of these and store perhaps poll them or vote for them (like the coin cap for example). This way everyone will feel they add their contribution and the devs will develop this coin the way it could get strong and add future value to the crypto world.

I've been talking to the dev and suggesting the team should push for TOR Anon support on this coin. Freedom and security for communication but also for the coin itself.

What do you guys think?

I think this would create more demand, increase price, increase hashrate and further secure the network.

Would be a good addition for sure

Thanks for the feedback.

Anonymity in Talkcoin is a key aspect because there are a lot of internet users who want private and secure communications and there is very little choice in the market.

But right now we are finishing the basics like improving public chat and voting.

Good to see the update, thanks.

Maybe DEV team needs another developer/coder? I've been mining and in the TAC community for 6-8 weeks and development is very very slow. I think the dev is good but not fast.

There are people that with a dev fund could help out for a fee. Is talkcoin open to hiring another coder?

Hi, yes we are open to that.

I'm sure many people will donate to pay developer's team, just look how many donations came into djim's pocket for making optimised miner. So it won't be just from the founder's pocket.

I haven't posted anything until now bcs I was exhausted from the darkcoin drama yesterday... but here i am.

Missed the drama and don't feel like diving into DRK thread. I noticed on poloniex that someone dumped hard. Can you sum up what happened?

In a nutshell, Darkcoin has been working on a protocol that runs above bitcoin through masternodes.
These masternodes accumulate that transactions and shuffle them so that an observer of the blockchain no longer knows who sent who and what amount.
It is already implemented and functioning. Yesterday, a new version was implemented via hard-fork. The new version was to provide Masternodes a payment for their service. Last time it caused many forks. Yesterday was supposed to be different bcs it was tested and modified.... but it failed again...
Still, the concept is cutting-edge and very innovative and will enable many added features.

Thanks for the summary...now back to TAC.

OK... i d/l and tried Talkcoin chat.
neat...

I have a few newbie questions if anyone can drop a link/answer. Smiley

1. eli5 the voting.
2. how many chars can be sent per message?
3. are chars sent in unicode?
4. is there a web interface presenting the chat log?
5. is there a 'fee structure' per message/ message length/ emoticons/ links/ hyperlinks/ other?
6. when sending a message, where do the coins go to? are they burned? go into a fund? other

thnx

Dear Dwarfpool members,

due to the contineous interruptions by the old provider last time, moria moved to a reliable data center in Canada.

Dwarfpool is even more stable now!

http://dwarfpool.com/tac

erebor.dwarfpool.com (EU/France)
moria.dwarfpool.com (Canada)

put the other server as backup to ensure 100% uptime!

DwarfPool German quality you can trust!

Sure had a spike where it "was profitable".... key is was... so sad.... this coin is good.

Feel free to leave if it's too hard for you. I remember hearing from you the same complain 2 weeks ago. Why don't you leave already, please?

Btw, concerning the price, we've gone through a pump to a whoopy 14200 sat per TAC today, 10% more than I expected. After a pump is always a price correct, which I think we are in now. And we're doing  fine too, price stays around 9k sat range. I expect TAC will stay at this level for a while and if the new features in the new wallet at the end of June works well, we could expect another healthy growth again.
Keep it up, guys.

Hello everyone.
To start, the 'pump' you are referring to was me buying a very healthy bag of talkcoin.
I started at 8000 sat and finished buying at 10,000 sat.
It wasn't an intended pump or anything alike. I simply came across this coin by mere accident as i had another coin, sold it at bittrex, and then saw tac and remembered i read someone tweet about it in the past.
So I decided to dedicate 5min to it, searched goog, and came to a single-page on bitcointalk from the launch. Took me a moment to realize talkcoin has changed and that there is a new thread...
I went into the new thread, read about the concept and got hooked on it... and decided on the spot to support the cause.
I haven't posted anything until now bcs I was exhausted from the darkcoin drama yesterday... but here i am.

I am vested heavily in talkcoin, but I don't want to profit from it. I simply want it to succeed. I practically don't care about the price, and i'm willing to donate for activities that the community thinks are in the best interests of promoting talkcoin's concept.
I believe success comes from great concepts, dev teams and marketing in this exact order. If marketing comes first, or too early, the coin simply shoots up, collapses and burns.

I admit I have NOT even d/l the client, tried the chat or anything. I will do that now that i'm less tense from yesterday's drama.

Keep it real!

Edit: imho, the tagline should be something like "first decentralized uncensored chat" rather than calling it 'anonymous' bcs that translates into yet another anon coin like darkcoin, monero, xc, cryptcoin, and a dozen others.
my 2 cents.

I have a concern that something is wrong with Suprnova pool (perhaps some settings, I hope it is only technical issue).

What am I talking about: I have 2 small rigs, exactly the same - 6x 270.
I've put one on SNova pool (5.7GH) and the other one on Xhash pool (4.8GH - meaning there is no much difference between pools).
For a period of 8:30 hours I got these results: 20 TAC from SNova, 39 TAC from XHash.
Moreover - my friend has pretty much the same rig and he is on Dwarfpool - for 9:00 hours he got 41 TAC.

Ocminer better fix this (hopefully) technical problem...
