Oh come one guys. Bittrex is already a good exchange. Don't bring our kid to battlefield when it isn't ready yet. We focus on features first, then if the volume is high enough, big exchange will automatically add us.
Btw IMHO bittrex is now much better than poloniex.

Agreed. I don't exchange on Poloniex but their layout looks unprofessional of sorts. Bittrex hasn't failed me yet so I am sticking with them.

I would not mine this coin if there was not block reward voting. Other coins have chatting too, not true p2p chatting, but to the end user it looks similar. The block reward voting is a big reason why I like Talkcoin.

So maybe should be less radical voting? Like using some average beetwen the old votes and the last one?

Some kind of Gravity well but for the reward..

That will be fine

Dear TAC users/community,

First please excuse me for my bad english.

Like I have stated here
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7213022

I think almost all TAC current specs and future plans are perfect, except one thing: the block reward voting system.
The voting system sounds democratic at first, but it's actually not. It's very easy to manipulate with a handful of people.  It should be get rid off because it scares the investors. Who will buy at this price when the next days you could have 3 times or even 20 times more. An perfect example of such coin is HVC. Very innovative coin with big IPO, much more support at first than TAC now, but still, almost like goes under the cellar everyday.
So I will ask some of your opinions first before I post a poll for community to decide whether we should remove the voting system. This request will be sent to talkcoin dev.

Thanks,

Regards,

I have never mined before and agree with this

Yep look at JackpotCoin. At first I thought it was a silly idea and that coin is a joke. Dumped my 30mil JPC @ 2 sat. Now it is like 3 weeks straight in top profit coin charts and growing everyday. TAC is even better than JPC in many aspects, so this coin would be a real deal in the future. I'm investing and mining this coin like no tomorrow Cheesy

I bought 10m jpc at 3 sat, got impatient after a week or so and dumped them for 3 sat. Sux doesn't it?  Grin
It's funny, pretty much every first impression turned out to be right, but most times I lost confidence in myself and dumped before the gains happened. Every time I have ever dumped for a loss the coin came back over my original buy in shortly after. I've got to start adding patience to my gut reactions, which fade quickly when price doesn't move or sinks, tough thing to put into practice.
When I first looked at XC price was below 4k sat, it was its first day on Bittrex. After a minute of looking at the ann page I had this huge gut feeling that this was the one, this was going to go up huge. I bought 12k at 4k sat. That night it went on Pol and I dumped half of them when it hit 20k. I read the ann thread and had a fishy feeling about things, like it was another BANK, DRM or Liberty scam promising anon that would never happen. I went out had some drinks, thought about it more, came home and dumped the remaining 6k at 10k sats.
Classic case of sticking with your gut, which I wish more than anything right now I could go back and do it over. I ended up going back in at 100k and sleeping through the crash, my 3 btc profit should have been at least 50 btc. Very tough lesson.

Well I never take JPC seriously to be honest. That coin is so so like a joke. Sorry some JPC holders in this thread but it is the reason I don't think that coin would go anywhere. So I have mined almost 50mil JPC in total and dumped for around 4BTC in total. Yeah big mistake. But what I learn from this mistake is if a coin is backed by a whale (or a few), it could be explode. Maybe it could not make bank for you, but earning more than 10 BTCs is possible.
Right now TAC isn't still backed by any whale, so its potential is very big. So Im still accumulating many TACs as possible and waiting for this opportunity.

JPC got backed by a whale because he was able to collect many millions in the 2-3 sat range. You weren't the only one who stopped taking it seriously after 2-3 weeks of 2 sat prices. Not sure about a whale taking over talkcoin because it isn't being sold at give away prices.

Super idea! We should suggest it to the dev. Otherwise everyone scares off if the next block reward happens to be < 5 TACs.

but wouldn't this require a hard fork?

Build something like an IP check to make sure that no other vote can occurs from the same IP, that would block part of the cheating.

Dev said: "One-person-multi-votes" will be implemented, this is will reduce dumping and preserve a good price and it will promote investment.

I think he proposed just the opposite, that everybody can vote all times that he wants?

It would likely be much easier to allow people to vote as much as they want than to implement some IP checking, but would this be better for the democracy?

As it is now you can vote many times if you run many wallets, this at least is a deterrent to casting multiple votes. But allowing multiple votes from one wallet I think is back-peddling, and a mistake.

If you must allow multi-voting for technical reasons, at least make each additional vote cost 100% more than the last...
I don't see how multi-vote is more of the mistake than voting from several wallet.
This is as equally stupid in my opinion.
But don't worry, as far as I am concerned I have no intention to spend all my coin in voting.
So will these coins be destroyed as suggested ? (if not I understand perfectly the interest of dev in allowing multi-vote for everybody  Grin)

I think at least, for now the dev should consider a Gravity Well for the reward, it would be very easy to develop. Use averages... or just set that maximum change for the reward is +-2, if people vote for 12, and reward is 35, next reward will be 33, just 2 less.. Or something that avoid radical changes
