Hi guys, how's everyone controlling temps with talkcoin algo and sgminer? I'm worried there is no fan and/or temperature readings displayed in sgminer...

Even with cgwatcher you can see the temps

Don't worry beacuse the temps are low with NIST5.  Wink

It's really a big advantage. Cool

whats sgminer setting for 280x? .bat file

280x 5.3mh:

 -I 18 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500

you can increase the intensity to 24 depending on the card and increase the clocks obviously.  The algo runs really cool so you have a lot of room to push the cards I have a toxic at 6.3mh.

Hi guys, how's everyone controlling temps with talkcoin algo and sgminer? I'm worried there is no fan and/or temperature readings displayed in sgminer...

It's better to use a specific software for monitoring temps/performance for CPU/GPU.

A free open source software that monitors temperature sensors, fan speeds, voltages, load and clock speeds of a computer.

Thanks for that...

I'm gonna move my rigs off XHash, losing connection a lot of the time, rigs often sit there saying "Awaiting work from pool" or similar...

Hi guys, how's everyone controlling temps with talkcoin algo and sgminer? I'm worried there is no fan and/or temperature readings displayed in sgminer...

Due to the new algo, our dev hasn't done the temps part yet as he is working on the wallet features.  This will be addressed later and a CPU miner is also on the way.

In the mean time, some alternatives are:

MSI Afterburner http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Sapphire Trixx: https://www.sapphireselectclub.com/ssc/TriXX/

If you compile the miner yourself with ADL you'll be able to have those features.

Yep I'm listening to my rigs slowly get quieter... Good good, I like innovation, it's good for Crypto... Happy to support this coin...

no premine, hard working dev, reputable pools(dwarfpool and suprnova), innovation ideas, .... why difficulty is low?
maybe because its a bitmessage ripoff?

Hi lemfuture

There is no real rivalry between talkcoin and bitmessage, it's not the same thing.
Talkcoin is a chat program which is open for everybody, anyone can read messages, in bitmessage everything is hidden, there is no public chat and this is not really a chat room.

I just solo mined my first block ever! :3 Feels good.

BTW, where do the 1 TAC chat fees go, to the devs? Not sure if this has been answered before.

I think it's totally acceptable as there is no premine.
... the bold text is rather expensive though as well as the voting fee

Is there a way to look at older chat message ?

Algo is incredible on my power bill...it's approximately 75-80% less cost than scrypt and 10-20% less than x11. And quiet as a cucumber!

Very nice coin! Let's mine and get on an exchange.
