Whoever the "mysterious crypto whale" was who agreed to buy however many million TAOs back whenever it was on Twitter can't be too happy with the massive losses they've incurred since.

Meant to post this yesterday.

Desantis bought 1% of all the Tao that exists, he has partners that want I don't know specifically how many million Tao. They haven't bought it yet, not that I expect you to be in command of anything resembling facts.

Here's Desantis' take on why he wants in on Tao.

He gets it.

You don't.

You're going to be soooooooo mad at yourself.   Cry

They call me Rad Rody.
Why did Hakim Draper drop out of the project?  was he the connection to the ODB estate?
Whats the reason for the pivot away from celebrity endorsed tokens?  it seems like the mission of fanmix is to onboard indie artists, right?

Dude. The entire thing was a ruse from the beginning. You got Wiener'd.

The ridiculous thing is Wiener will strike yet again, and there will be a new round of fresh moron shills bordering on the edge of criminality to back him up.

How many more bitcoins are you tards going to give this professional scam artist?

In addition to the two Tao community hardware projects I've posted about before (quoted below) OG community member PPMcGhee/Caleb Hawk has now managed to mod his Nintendo Switch to run the Tao wallet and turn the Switch into a staking device!  Cheesy

(note he accidentally refers to the Switch as a Raspberry Pi in the video because he was tired and he's been building staking Pi's for people, but you can see the Switch in the video)

Here's his post about it on Twitter, including the video:
https://twitter.com/calebhawk/status/1163700499096506369?s=21

And here's a mirror of the video:
http://acgimg.s3.amazonaws.com/Caleb-Hawk-Tao-staking-on-Nintendo-Switch.mp4

Very cool!

There is now a Tao Docker image you can use to very easily set up a Tao staking node on Docker:

https://github.com/taoblockchain/docker-tao

If you have a Raspberry Pi you can set it up as a staking node with this script created by a community member:

https://github.com/ppmcghee/EasyPiTaoWallet

The same community member has been taking orders and building these nice RPi stake boxes with built in touch screens. Here's a pic of one acting as a mobile device, staking while running off battery.

The next version will include a solar panel/battery combo - turn sunlight into money. Smiley

There's another interesting hardware project that I believe is about to ship to some Tao community members. It's the project of Reboot Technology, who was already close to finishing it when he joined us in the slack, but he decided he wanted to include a staking Tao node on the device. I think he's using the auto-build script I linked to upthread to streamline his production process.

does it fly? :-D Lol

New article aimed at music artists on how to prepare a campaign on FanMix.com

https://link.medium.com/qcEy9eKNiZ

The term "IAO" or "Initial Artist Offering" isn't used in the article, but that's what Bryce is talking about here. Remember, as mentioned in the earlier posts I've quoted below, pledges from music fans and all money spent by fans on FanMix will result in automated market buys of Tao off of AltMarket. AM/FM  Wink

Some more details on http://fanmix.com/

So in a nutshell, Fanmix will let fans pledge funds or buy merchandise and every dollar spent on the artist will earn them "rewards points" which are actually crypto tokens.  Fans don't need to know anything about crypto or even know that's what they're getting.

Dollars spent on fanmix.com will trigger automatic market buys of Tao off of AltMarket, leading to volume and steady buy pressure.

Tao bought off the market will be held off-market and staked, leading to less available supply.

Artist tokens will be tradable on AltMarket, exclusively against Tao. They have a LOT of artists already, including big names.

I hope that you know where that all leads to.  Cool

You can make money if you refer a band or artist to Fanmix. Decentralized music producers?

What a waste of a Switch!!!  Cheesy

Mom: What are you gonna do with your new Nintendo, son? Play Super Smash Brothers with your friends in different countries?

Son: Nope, I'm gonna stake a valueless shitcoin.

I my view, Altmarket is a complete scam! I sent 280usd worth of ETH to their exchange and bought TAO coins with that amount! Now, only 36TAO show in my balance, which is only a couple of dollars worth...
Trying to resolve this over two month of corespondence through their support (Bryce Weiner) was an absolute nightmare...
I will try to expose them everywhere I can!

To the confused people/trolls who've made this kind of comment about low volume:

https://twitter.com/BryceWeiner/status/1151963404329816064?s=20

Volume will come after FanMix.com users start generating it by spending money on their favorite artists, no need for crypto traders, no need to fake anything.  Cool

FanMix.com went live a few days ago. Currently you can sign up for an invite to create either a fan account or an artist account, with the full service rolling out over the next 90 days or so. There's more info coming, but here is the initial announcement Bryce posted via Medium about FanMix:

So, any project that involves music seems to be inspiring and there is hardly any problem of adoption. It's true that most cryptocurrencies are unknown, but no problem.

BTI is somehow more volume than TAO i'm surprised! Wink weeee ===>

As for the roadmap, the copy in the OP of this thread shows up through the March 2019 launch of AltMarket. The next step is the launch of FanMix, which I've been posting about recently.

You can expect more details on July 4th.

So, what were those "more details" we should have been expecting? I'm just curious...

My apologies I forgot to update the thread.

CMC data is missing a lot of data because after Cryptopia delisted Tao

Are you having an ICO or IEO

There was an ICO for Tao (originally XTO) back in 2016. It was done before the major ICO hype set it and it was done in a legally compliant way that did not count as a security, making it a rarity.

However, the FanMix.com platform will include "IAOs" (aka Initial Artist Offerings) for musicians - they have a large number of artists already onboard ranging from no-name up-and-coming artists to established big names.  Each artist token will only be tradable against Tao and so each one adds to Tao's value.

Make sure to read my posts upthread for more details, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Why is the coinmarketcap data for Tao missing? Also, where are the current exchange markets for TAO?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tao/

Are you going to release your 2019-onwards roadmap also? Your website shows up until Dec 2018 plans only.

CMC data is missing a lot of data because after Cryptopia delisted Tao CMC chose not to include data from any other exchanges. It is currently on three exchanges that I know of:

FreiExchange:
https://freiexchange.com/market/TAO/BTC

qTrade:
https://qtrade.io/market/TAO_BTC

and the official home on AltMarket:
https://exchange.alt.market/

As for the roadmap, the copy in the OP of this thread shows up through the March 2019 launch of AltMarket. The next step is the launch of FanMix, which I've been posting about recently.

Thanks for the reply. However, CMC should update with your current listings. Maybe, you need to communicate with them regarding the current info of your coin. With thousands of altcoins to be catered, they can't check all the details by themselves. They need help from your end. At least provide the markets where you are currently traded.

CoinMarketCap were made aware of our symbol change from XTO to TAO as soon as it happened but require volume on two exchanges that they already list for it to show up. Two we are already on are Freiexchange and Novaexchange, we just need more volume on those and can get the CMC listing back really quickly.

As mentioned they are also aware of altmarket having responded after the initial application with detailed questions which we sent by return. Ball is in their court on that one.

The gatekeepers of crypto like CMC are ill equipped to handle a symbol change so I’ve found out. Even convincing Delta to consolidate our multiple entries has been a headache but either way, I am on a personal mission to get all this in order.
