TIL one of the high end premiums offered by the first band for the top pledgers will be a songwriting credit - something you keep in perpetuity, and which presumably means royalties down the road.  Cool

Paying a no-name band for a songwriting credit -- nothing disingenuous about that at all.  Roll Eyes

What on earth is "disingenuous" about a band *choosing to offer* a songwriting credit to a very select number of fans who pay the amount of money the band decides is fair, helping significantly to fund their album, gaining the fan a songwriting credit in return?   Roll Eyes

And the band in question isn't no-name, they have an established fanbase. They're just not signed with a record label, and likely won't feel the pressure to do now that they have an alternate way to fund their music.

Oct. 15 update:  FanMix is about to launch and announce their first band within the next day or so.

I did a write-up on Reddit about why I see so much potential in what Bryce and co. have been working on:

Updates on Tao, AltMarket & FanMix for October 7th, 2019

First off, we welcome Brady McKenna to the Tao fam. Brady worked for Coinbase for four years and is about as OG as you can get, being involved in crypto since 2011:

FanMix.com launches officially in just over a week!  Reminder for those who missed it:

New article aimed at music artists on how to prepare a campaign on FanMix.com

https://link.medium.com/qcEy9eKNiZ

The term "IAO" or "Initial Artist Offering" isn't used in the article, but that's what Bryce is talking about here. Remember, as mentioned in the earlier posts I've quoted below, pledges from music fans and all money spent by fans on FanMix will result in automated market buys of Tao off of AltMarket. AM/FM  Wink

Some more details on http://fanmix.com/

So in a nutshell, Fanmix will let fans pledge funds or buy merchandise and every dollar spent on the artist will earn them "rewards points" which are actually crypto tokens.  Fans don't need to know anything about crypto or even know that's what they're getting.

Dollars spent on fanmix.com will trigger automatic market buys of Tao off of AltMarket, leading to volume and steady buy pressure.

Tao bought off the market will be held off-market and staked, leading to less available supply.

Artist tokens will be tradable on AltMarket, exclusively against Tao. They have a LOT of artists already, including big names.

I hope that you know where that all leads to.  Cool

You can make money if you refer a band or artist to Fanmix. Decentralized music producers?

Volume will come after FanMix.com users start generating it by spending money on their favorite artists, no need for crypto traders, no need to fake anything.  Unlike most cryptos, including BTC. Cool

Second video interview segment, this one talks about Bryce's business partner Peter Rafelson, who among other things is the co-writer of the Madonna song "Open Your Heart" and the son of director Bob Rafelson.  Peter brings deep music industry connections to the project.

I bet on slack you don't find out Bryce fleeced lil ODB and his business partners

OK sure buddy. You can bet they're going to find out you're so obsessed/enamored with Bryce that you went through dozens of pages of posts to dredge up non-issues that were answered years ago. You are so sad.   Cheesy

Why did Hakim Draper drop out of the project?  was he the connection to the ODB estate?
Whats the reason for the pivot away from celebrity endorsed tokens?  it seems like the mission of fanmix is to onboard indie artists, right?

Seems like Hakim had stepped back for a while for personal reasons Bryce didn't specify to me when I asked about it 2-3 days ago in a DM. But since then Hakim apparently posted - and since deleted - that tweet because he didn't like the fact that Bryce was now dealing directly with ODB's estate instead of through him.

The plan is not really a pivot it's just there are many steps, and the first steps with FanMix is to onboard indie artists. Bigger artist come later.

Keep in mind the big artists will naturally want to see it working before they're willing to commit, and in a lot of cases have to get the OK from their representation which is not an issue for unsigned artists.

Sorry, as an indie musician myself with label releases, supporters all around the world, and lots of contacts with other artists, its clear that bryce has no idea how different "fans" of indie artists are from fans of mainstream celebrity acts.  indie artists have to go where the fans are, not the other way around.  so the only way this hair-brained scheme would work is if celebrity acts brought consumers to the platform first so indie artists could play for them.  furthermore, fans are extremely fickle; an exclusive release from Jay Z himself couldn't get people to use Tidal over what they were already on.  and even if this idea would work, how could you possibly think a quality, functional product will be delivered after seeing how bad (and dead!) altmarket is?  #delusional

And uh, the fact bryce is STILL a fugitive from the state of KY and STILL being chased for stealing from his own family are "non-issue that were answered years ago" is hilarious

I'll be posting a series of short ~2 minute videos which I've also been posting on twitter. The first one is part of an interview with Bryce where he shares the story of how he became the first person from the cryptocurrency industry to lobby congress, as well as what happened when he was invited to speak with the SEC.

Erm, that's not an exchange. Its not even a spreadsheet.

I didn't look on the c-cex exchange, I looked on coinmarketcap.

OK whatever, Weiner's next weinercoin, luck to you about that. I won't spam here anymore.
You are the one who will buy when it hits $2.

We thank you for your sacrifice.

Wow man, you are as delusional as ever. The greatest thing you could ever hope to accomplish is to remove yourself from the cryptocurrency space. That is the most possible good you could ever do for humanity. All of your coins end up the same way: broken down, abandoned. Why would anybody trust you now?

PS: Your latest shitcoin plunged another 8% today

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tao/

Dunno man, I've got 31 connections in my wallet. 🤔

Let's see what happens after the exchange launches next month with Wu Tang hyping it.

 Roll Eyes

The details are that
a) everything is public knowledge, and
b) Coinbase is aware of this dispute because
c) in August of 2014 I took estate funds and invested them in Bitcoin with the permission of the co-administrator.

I haven't gone back just yet to correct the record, but then Bitcoin has only just now crossed $5,000.  Smiley

funny the because the estate says you stole estate funds, but again, that's a matter of public record - go ahead and say whatever bullshit you gotta say conman.
The record says that I was administrator of the estate at the time, and as a result could not have stolen anything.  Your characterization is typical crypto FUD or ignorance of how the law works or both.

Sorry, spin it anyway you want.

But anyway I guess it's to people who invest in you to decide if a lawsuit is fud.
[/quote]
I'm not spinning anything.

I think you're projecting.  That's kinda my point.

Edit to add: As I've been responding here I've been conducting an AMA in XTO slack on this topic.  Those are the most interested parties including our ICO investors and business partners.  You're welcome to join us.  The link is in the OP. Smiley

FYI state of KY still looking for Bryce

Really interesting roadmap.  I wonder who the well known companies in the cryptocurrency space that are helping to build this project are.
So Tao is in partnership with Interscope records?
Are some of these celebrities pictured in the roadmap going to publicly  endorse Tao?

Endorse?  Oh no no no....

The celebrities featured in the roadmap are ALREADY under contract.  We used their likenesses because we already have the rights to do so. Smiley

What about this obvious lie?

Allow me to be SUPER CLEAR.

Those celebrities involved with XTO are not compensated.  Quite the opposite, they are our CLIENTS.

LMAO "clients" ha! your shit coin is barely worth $0.02

but where's the involvement with Hulu and HBO and snoop dog??? I'm sure they all want in on that $100/day volume

Damn, that's hardcore crazy! Good find!

We need a DT member to tag Wiener's account, all his alts, and whatever other freelance pieces of shit were marketing this abortion.

Wiener will probably get away with yet another crypto crime. Un fucking believable. People are so dumb its sad.

wowwwwww, holy fuck.  gonna copy/paste so everyone can read this and then tell tell us we're just trolls, "whining" about TAO and giving bryce an unfair shake:

"Listen, I don’t want to get all in the weeds here so I will say this.  The crypto project that I was involved with burned my artist, the legacy estate, and my company.  They stole from all of us and are continuing to use the brand without permission.  Do your homework.  #fraud"
