Hard work pays off. I am ready to work hard for this coin. My specialties are in web development, database administration and marketing. Let's put together a wishlist of what we want done for this coin. I think we have lots of skilled people here and can make an amazing team. Are there enough people wanting to make this huge?

Rant all you want guys but it's not going to help. The price of any of these coins are what people perceive them to be. All of us HempCoin supporters must buy the cheap coins and people will take notice. How do you think any of these coins take off? There needs to be initial buy support. If you are complaining about this coin then just go and buy some. I say we all buy any orders under 25 satoshis to start. Anytime you see any order under 25 just buy it. Then we will move it up to 50, etc.

You have to understand market structure. There is an accumulation phase... these foolish miners will keep dumping into our pockets for cheap. Eventually they won't be able to mine as many coins and sell for so cheap. At this point we will have accumulated lot's of THC, there won't be as much available to sell and the power will change hands. Study this graphic for a basic understanding if you are unfamiliar

It is not only market structure that matters. There needs to be a strong active developer. I suggest as a community we kinda take over the development of this coin. Everyone can work on something and we will turn this into something big. The explorer looks great! Maybe add some anon functionality or some new feature that is cool. A coin can turn from nothing into something pretty fast but the people behind it must understand this game we play.

thats right! we all have to do something! i feel a little bit lonely in this thread. the frontpage from this thread needs to be refreshed included the website. we need a new logo + working block explorer. is the dev still working on this coin or is he gone?

i would spend some coins for a logo contest or something.

next week i will start buying all the cheap coins.

hope i am not alone and fighting against windmills..

sorry if i wrote something wrong...im from germany.

greets to all supporters!

WTF !?!?! down to 14 -_- f***** dumpers... you mine this coin for what??? for selling it with no f****** profit Huh??
you dont even get your electricity costs back..... you just think "yeah i got some bitcoins now..."
....buy directly bitcoins and stop wasting your money and stop destroying this nice FIRST cannabis-themed POW/POS coin!

Had typed up a giant rant that agreed with you.. Don't feel like making any hard feelings on here so I deleted it..

It'll be really sad if we become bag holders of a coin I loved so much.

Just saw the network hashrate at over 100GH/s.  Woowoo!

sure ? 100 GH/s ? where you have seen it ?

will growing season only work if my wallet is online for all the time ?

I saw it briefly yesterday when I refreshed the frontpage of the explorer I'm working on that shows the network hash rate.   I kept an eye on it over the day and it was in the 40-80 range.  It's lower now at around 25..

For growing season your wallet needs to be open and unlocked. Smiley

i think something is wrong with your explorer.
that is definitely too high!
maybe 100 MH/s ?

Oh shit, getmininginfo shows h/s not kh/s   My bad,  it would have been 100 MH/s.

i did this and hempcoinqt crashed.

i restarted hempcoin qt and now its still locked and i get this message

are you on windows or linux?

windows 8.1

no help for me ?

I'm not great with fixing every problem there is with wallets but hoping this helps.

Go to: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Hempcoin  (i hope windows 7/8.1 are the same)
Turn on view hidden files - I do this by going to the folder then holding alt on my keyboard which brings down a file menu at the top, then go to tools>folder options>view tab - check view hidden files and folders then make a copy of the wallet.dat somewhere safe.

AFTER backing up your wallet.dat options to try are:

Make sure you have the latest hempcoin-qt off of hempcoin.org

1) Try opening hempcoin with a -salvagewallet switch:   hempcoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet (I think this one should do the trick.. I'm hoping so.)
2) Try deleting everything in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Hempcoin except for wallet.dat and hempcoin.conf then re-open/resync
3) Last option, you could try deleting everything but hempcoin.conf from C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Hempcoin.  Make sure you have that wallet.dat backed up though, you'll lose your coins if the wallet.dat isn't the problem.

Hope this helps!

first everything looked like its working now but at block 103379 hempcoin qt crashed and i get the message again Sad

I'm not totally sure what this could be. I'll list a couple more things I would try if I was troubleshooting it on my box.

Try running hempcoin with -repairwallet  not sure if you'll have more luck there.

I'd probably try dumping my private key for each address and then import the keys into a a fresh new wallet that has had everything deleted including everything in %APPDATA%\Hempcoin deleted..   This is done in the command console in the hempcoin wallet.  dumpprivkey
I've never done this so I don't have a list of all the steps to export/import but it should be pretty easy and any tutorial for bitcoin should work for hempcoin I'd think.

Still be careful to be sure you have a wallet.dat backup in case other things you try don't work.

wallet is now working !

this time i copyed the wallet AFTER the full sync in to the hempcoin folder. Roll Eyes

Niiiiice!    Glad you got it working! Cheesy

how can i unlock my wallet ?

I do this..  Go to Help > commandline console then type

walletpassphrase yourpassword

or... if I just have it open for staking I do this.
walletpassphrase yourpassword 99999 true

walletpassphrase [mintonly]
Stores the wallet decryption key in memory for seconds.
mintonly is optional true/false allowing only block minting.

i did this and hempcoinqt crashed.

i restarted hempcoin qt and now its still locked and i get this message

glad to see the update.

So bitcore insight and abe both make me want to die.  Why do things have to be so complicated and hard?!?!?

With that being said, I'm working on an explorer.. I'm learning crypto stuff as I go so it may start off not as full featured as other explorers.. Either that, or all these explorers are way over complicated.  I'm hoping the later.. lol

I still have plenty of work to do!  I don't want to give a timeline, could be a week could be a month, it all depends on how busy I am with life.  Still working on the database structure for the transactions then have to work on live updating the frontend and getting everything tied together.

If anyone has any features they want to see added, feel free to let me know.

i would like to be able to graph the network hashrate and the diffuculty over a chose number of blocks
for eg i want to be able to specify a block range and see either the graph or just the data with an ability to export it so it can be graphed elsewhere.

Post your hempcoin wallet in your signature and we will send some Hempcoin your way
