Hello

If there is going to be a hard fork, have the devs put in a support ticket with Bittrex.

I've tried to message "@griffith" in bittrex slack with no reply.

why is this getting pumped so hard? doesn't anyone know that you can't smoke HEMP? HEMP is just used to make clothing, lotions, etc etc. not used for smoking....

I don't understand why my hempcoinwallet is mining all the time like stupid, but i found each time in the transaction history always just this message:

"Unconfirmed (0 out of 6 confirmations) Generated but not accepted Mined" so that it never really mines anything.
So this kind of mining makes no sense. Why does it not really mine ? Have i to change a setting of the wallet so that it can really mine ?

It can be possible that your wallet is on a false chain? I dont know watch if your block hash is the same as the one in the block explorer

I am still interested in there being some sort of co-op or foundation to lobby for hempcoin. We used to have people pledging millions of THC but I doubt they will donate that much now that price is high. That was about 2 or 3 years ago. I am still willing to donate to such a thing if anyone is interested in being the director of it.

I have been doing some research on the hemp market and have some questions as to why someone would use this coin for trading hemp or hemp related products?

I get there can be problems for hemp producers working with banks, but if the hemp market explodes I think the banks will very quickly get the govt to resolve any problems.  Leaving that aside here is why I am not sure why this currency will work.

1). Assuming people use crypto to buy and sell hemp why not just use better known coins such as BTC, ETH, LTC,  etc?  Yes,I know fees and speed are an issue with BTC but not LTC.

2) Let's assume the hemp community decide to use a branded coin such as THC how will that work?  IF I am the consumer - buying the hemp products - I would have to change my $100 cash to X coin and pay fees.  Wait for coin to show up and transfer it to Y exhange where I use it to buy THC and again pay fees.   Even if I can do all this in split second speed between the fees and market volatility my $100 might now only be $90, and if my original purchase was for $1,000 then I might now only have $900.  So I have lost money.  Sure the trade could go the other way and my $1000 could be $1050, but as a consumer I am not looking to trade I am looking to buy a product, andI am not going to use a method that requires multiple steps to transact and potentially eats my initial cash deposit.  I would really love to hear what everyone else thinks about this.

3). When researching I also looked at the companies such as Posabit that has coins ATM's in cannabis shops.  I just don't get the business model.  As a consumer I walk into a CS and instead of buying using my $100 in cash, I put the money in their machine.  They take 2%, which means I already lost money, but also they need to give me enough coin as to get as close to my $100.  Assuming for some strange reason I decide giving the machine 2% is far easier than just handing the money to the cashier  Wink Shocked Roll Eyes.  We know the price of coins change every second and there can be quite big spreads between the exchanges - if the machine gives me more or less $100 in coins regardless of fluctuation then isn't the company, Posabit, risking huge losses as they are dispensing coins to me higher than the going rate?  If they jack up the price of the coins at the ATM to mitigate this risk, so my $100 is now only $90 in BTC, why would anyone use it?

Love to hear everyone thoughts.  As I said I have been doing research in the hemp space, and love the potential just don't see how a coin can facilitate trade.  Yes, small trades here and there, but more mass adoption?  I don't see how given how the market currently works.

hmm... love to hear your thoughts, or does this stuff not matter and it is THC to the moon Cool Grin

of all my cryptocurrencies it's the only one who keeps rising
damn idiot why i didn't bought more this summer?

There is plenty of that kind of projects )) Good to see Rising one! ))
Every cryptocurrency must have a product, if not, then it could have some problems with volumes, like bitcoin have right now... I think everybody will sell it out til the end of next week and only then pepople will continue to use it as they did before. Bitcoin is not an asset... totally.

Ah ****,

The wallet got to 90% again and stopped.

I was looking at other coin wallets and they say *** IMPORTANT! DO NOT SEND ANY COINS TO YOUR DESKTOP WALLET UNTIL SYNCING PROCESS IS COMPLETE ***

Does this mean there's a chance of coins not appearing ever?

You have the private keys so you have your coins. There's a way to export your private keys, without being synced, and use coinomi to move coins so no need to worry. Have you tried leaving the wallet on over night syncing?

Thanks Joint,

The wallet has been open for a week now and just seems stuck whenever it gets to block 1774970.

I hope Hempcoin decides to upgrade their wallet in January, it's one of the worst wallets i've used.

If you keep coins on coinomi are they safe and do you get coins if theres a fork?

I've been asked for the outcome of my lost THC's in my win64 bit Hempcoinwallet.

I've got my Hempcoins back now. After a month or two using my hempcoinwallet out of a sudden Avira's AntiVir has put my wallet into quarantine. Now after half a year i wanted to install again this hempcoinwallet, but AntiVir protested everytime and told me that this wallet was infected. Only the installation of the 32bit Hempcoinwallet was successful, but the imported win64bit Hempcoin backup (*.dat) did not load my old hempcoins. They did not appear into this 32bit Hempcoinwallet. So i simply told Avira's AntiVir program to reconstruct my win64bit Hempcoinwallet. I still haven't deleted it into my quarantine folder and my old wallet was again activated and my old Hempcoin balance appeared again ! :-) A really beautfiul moment :-)

One question for the staking:
Has the Hempcoinwallet to be open and work all the six weeks, so that the 5% will be gained through the work of the Hempcoinwallet ?

It would be good to get an update on the fork from the devs to clarify what's happening.

I'm not sure exactly how the fork will work. An important part of the blockchain is the length. The 3+ year long #blockchain of THC is partially what makes it so valuable now a days & separates it from other newer coins. Forks don't normally restart the blockchain from block 0 like swaps do. I want masternodes and pure PoS so I'm looking forward to the update. PoW is very wasteful and insecure compared to PoS mining. Coinomi has other PoS masternode coins so most likely your $THC will still work on coinomi without you even realizing there was a fork.

Cannot wait for the fork for this coin in january... Finally downloaded all my blocks and am uptodate.

Is staking a fixed every 45 days? Or is 45 days the max coin day age for staking? How exactly does that work out.

Eagerly awaiting the masternode implementation.

45 day's is the minimum coin age to receive around 5% (that is no sending and no receiving), I stake every month and a half or so. ( I turn on my wallet once a week just to keep it updated but do not stake.)

How does this coin compare to Potcoin and Dopecoin? Pros/cons? Long hodler both of those and am considering adding THC to my portfolio.

Bummer there's no Mac wallet Sad

It has a broader band of implementations such as the agriculture side of the project, not just recreational or medical. It has a three prong approach that I believe will take over the entire industry but we'll have to see who backs it.
