Greatest Ticker EVER.

Hello All! ...
Quote
It's always great to have an up to date website were all information are available in an actual format. I would suggest to make it 100% torbrowser + noscrit enable compatible.
 yeah +1

Quote
Then we need to discuss the governance of this project.
your plan seems  way too centralized. masternode capability needs to be available to every client,
if we do launch this or similar effort i think we should consider governance systems like Decred or Vcash have developed
also the PoW/PoS hybred system is gr8 because the shortfalls of one system are covered by the other, making creation of the currency available to all, so perhaps a CPU only algo would be best (magi)

Quote
The goal is to be able to produce a roadmap
not  sure but i think THC is still trying to define it's niche, lets work on this, need to resolve goals maybe

Quote
I think that we need a fees of the new minted block to be attributed to the projects voted by the masternodes

yes lets create a dev fund, somehow

Quote
Furthermore we shouldn't set the masternode requirement to high, 1000 THC should be enough to be able to vote.
collateral amounts need to be high enough to prevent someone from running hundreds of nodes, yet not so high that only a few can afford it (a difficult equasion to resolve) maybe 100k hemp; idk

Quote
Then to improve the privacy of our users, we will have the benefits of the masternodes anonymization system
again i think it looks too centralized, privacy mixing needs to run localy, with all nodes globally able to participate (super/mammothcoin, vcash)

Greatest Ticker EVER.

Hello All!

This is my first message for this great coin, and not the last...

To be honest I think this coin can do a PIVX. It means going easy over 100k sat in the next few weeks if we all do our parts.

However it's not my interest to settle for this. I think we can do much bigger together. By this I mean:

1) A place in the TOP 10 at www.coinmarketcap.com and be the first PoS coin in the list.
2) Becoming the standard for all cannabis I.R.L. related sales (from recreational weed to the gears passing by the seeds).
3) and ultimately being able to quote weed in THC worldwide.

Griffith seems to be a really good developer. Is there a way with the $PIVX code base to direct a percentage of new coins to him for continued developments? This is a scrypt coin so we need to take that into account. I don't think it's possible to switch hashing algorithms but maybe it is. I guess nothing is impossible.

First of all I don't want in any way to sound arrogant or offense anyone in my wording. But I am super excited to have found it.

let me tell you how. I was looking for the cheapest coin on bittrex a while back, I found the name amusing. However I was unready to pay the high price asked. I waited and sometime checked it to see if something was happening. Then came this forking issue... that was my opportunity to get it.

Now that I have the full weekend of Easter ahead I have the time to engage with you. I would like to thank all of those that have supported it until now. I guess it was hard to see the price raise, and then fall, the massive spikes (maybe some of you got some actions, congrats). I know that originally this coin was made as a quick scam. However how many of you are still there from the first days? I see not much. But who cares anyway. What we have the chance to have is an old distribution of coin. One of the oldest.

And foremost the GREATEST TICKER EVER for a coin. Specially if adapted to the needs of this specific market. Furthermore seeing THC in the TOP10 of coins, would make me very proud, as a political act, as a big Fuck You to the prohibitionists.

So let me ask you what are your plan oldtimers? I don't want to disturb any projects, but I think this coin need evolution to reach our common goal, i.e. a massive sustainable price increase. Let's make it grow.

For this to happen I don't come empty handed. I hope you will find my suggestion interesting. Most of them are inspired from my experience following the PIVX team and my envy to do something new. From seed to flower if I may express myself so.

I like the forum very much, but I would like to offer you the option to join a new chan on BitMessage (www.bitmessage.org):
Chan Name: THC
address : BM-2cXi1z6VjQYiNwCkhUFS22ai4cBbKvXgyw

So let's start:

I ll revamp the website if you want me to.

Thank you for your goodwill I second that idea. It's always great to have an up to date website were all information are available in an actual format. I would suggest to make it 100% torbrowser + noscrit enable compatible. We want something that everyone can visit, without flash, scripts or what ever fancy useless gimmicks. Clean, Pro but Torbrowser compatible.

Then we need to discuss the governance of this project. As you can see on my sig, one aspect of pivx that is great is the community involvement. But we need to have a governance structure. Something like the masternode provide in pivx.

The goal is to be able to produce a roadmap of the project. Clear guidelines, objectives and E.T.A. Our investors and supporters must know what we plan and must be able to add to the project. Because if today PIVX is at the top, there will be innovations and evolutions ((bitcoincore, dashcore, pivxcore and others) that we should progressively incorporate.

This is why I propose some major changes. First of all it would be a crosspolination from PIVX. Sadly it would mean the end of POW. let's face it scrypt mining is owned by the antminer L3, there are very few people mining it and it doesn't improve security what's so ever.

By moving to the full pivx, modified version we get the benefit of their work and the age of our chain. But more importantly the feature that the masternode offer which is budget proposal. We need a onchain governance where money is power.

I think that we need a fees of the new minted block to be attributed to the projects voted by the masternodes, like 2% of the new stakes. Furthermore we shouldn't set the masternode requirement to high, 1000 THC should be enough to be able to vote.

Projects voted on, could range from signature campaign finance, to blockchain explorer fees, or github, or for coders.

Then to improve the privacy of our users, we will have the benefits of the masternodes anonymization system which could be renamed by Xpollination. Privacy is necessary.

If we can pull this up we reach easy the 10k, at lightning speed.

then if PIVX can pull the zcoin protocol we move to it, while using only the masternode for governance of the fund.

It's only a first list of suggestions... and the beginning of a vertical ascension. Are you ready? Do you want it? Let's make it.

And please as I am a new comer to this coin, feel free to be blunt. All remarks, opinions are welcome.

Great job, Griffith!
Wallet with your bootstrap works fine.
It would be helpful copy here nodes that are on the correct chain.

it looks like we are down to 2 forks. from a previous number of 5. so its slowly resolving itself. im actually going to remove the bootstrap as i see something else that might be better.

update: it looks like there are now 2 distinct forks. the one i posted the bootstrap for and the one bittrex currently shows. based on what i was told in PM's if you resync from scratch you will end up on the longer chain (which bittrex is on) so this is now the preferred resync method

edit: i am currently resyncing a node from scratch. if it syncs with the bittrex chain. i will post that bootstrap instead.

Didn't I say?

However, Bittrex frozen again, now at 1530416. The wallet in my block explorer has 1530433 blocks and resync did not solved it.

Could you ask Bittrex for their debug.log file to see that it is caused by "attempting to reorganize unhealthy number of blocks, reorganization prevented"?

your block explorer is on the bittrex chain. that is the correct chain. i am resyncing nodes right now and the debug log files have all shown me that the chain your BE is on is the one they are naturally selecting now that it is down to 2 chains to choose from.

so everyone should resync if they are not matching your BE so that they do match your BE. bittrex wallet isnt blocked right now. i gave them a peer list and they are running it again

OK. As you posted your bootstrap file, I used it and got to your chain. Then you posted that it was not the chain on which bittrex is, so I restored the wallet from a backup and reloaded. Here is a part of my debug.log file, where Reorganize failed:

***********

ERROR: SetBestChain() : Reorganize failed
ERROR: AcceptBlock() : AddToBlockIndex failed

As I understand it, the block 1524745 tried to replace the block 1530367 and was denied, because vDisconnect.size() > 50.
If such a debug message appear, it means that the chain is forked and someone (or everyone) should do resync? Then some checkpoints or a bootstrap archive may be usefull for a faster recovery.
