THC wallet doesn't seem to have a addnode command in the console when you enter help for the command list.

I also put my addnodes for coins into the "coinname".conf file. So inside of %appdata%/roaming/Hempcoin/hempcoin.conf you put the add nodes.

Sorry if the filenames and folder names are wrong. The computer I was running a hempcoin node on crashed.

Can you load addresses into the console?   Like   ...  getaddress 254.157.25.235 ?

 i think you just type addnode blabla:nnnn [enter]

where it is ip:port
ok to omit colon and port if you don't have it

   your old peers file would have the peers you were connected to last time you ran the client. i can dig mine out for you if you like, had THC running just a couple of weeks ago, ... it may or may not work though.

  also did you replace the .conf? not sure if thc has a default one, sometimes you have to make it. you can list nodes there

     here's the list from the OP

addnode=198.27.106.7
addnode=162.243.1.45
addnode=162.209.109.81
addnode=83.183.247.151
addnode=24.69.200.51
addnode=82.21.238.186

addnode=54.186.62.109
addnode=88.208.236.108
addnode=198.50.132.65
addnode=69.10.58.157
rpcport=12055

 Also, look back a few pages as many of us were throwing up addnodes to help Bittrex sync, you can add those too

Thanks. I thought you just backed up the wallet.dat file. Does anyone have a current peer.dat file? I assume it contains info about other computers in the network. I have one now but it was just installed in the download this morning. I had a conflict installing the wallet for HMP. I have bought some of all the coins in this sector. I have a high end computer with UPS and I am running a number of coins including VPN. THC will likely run better with my node in sync. Still having problems with the HMP and Cannacoin wallets too. I find Ham Radio coins I have are the best. HAM is fast with transactions and blockchain load and in the future will operate using VHF and UHF as well as HF radio bands in case of interruption of the internet.

I had to reload the THC wallet. I deleted everything in the uses/appdata/roaming   file except wallet.dat and the wallet loads and shows my coins as unconfirmed. However the wallets is Offline with 0 active connections and won't sync. Any ideas?

  did you empty the recycle bin? if not remove the existing peers.dat from the roaming folder and restore, if you did, have a look here: http://www.shadowexplorer.com/downloads.html. you can try to recover the file using shadow explorer.
  failing that, i guess just leave the client running, make sure you're connectable

I think Hempcoin should stay away from illegal markets. There are at least 26 licenced cannabis production licenced companies in Canada  that would likely advertise and trade their products including legally made Rick Simpson oil on a well run exchange. There could be many markets for legal herbs and hemp crafts and products that could established in a exchange using the blockchain format.

I agree. Legal stuff is way better. Things like Hemp protein power, hemp oil and hemp cereal might sell well. A small community of 1000 shoppers could bring in a few BTC of volume each day. From there the community could grow fast.

Someone in the community has connections to a popular clothing line related to THC in the UK. They're interested in being part of this if we can every get a good user base going on.

I used to buy bitcoin using Virwox. I now use We Sell Crypto. Hempcoin could offer THC coins directly in exchange for using a simple platform like We Sell Crypto or get listed as a coin they sell first.

I've wanted to sell THC through paypal for a long time. It would make it so easy to get them.

It would be cool if I could sell a hardware wallet that come with a coupon to get a bunch of free coins loaded onto the hardware wallet that the user buys. It doesn't have to be a super fancy hardware wallet. Just something where a user can generate private/public key pairs. Then it can come with the coupon to get your free hempcoins.

Actually I've contact suppliers in China and I can get really old Android phones for $20. Install a program on that. It's a hardware wallet. Then sell them for like $200 but they come with a coupon for free hempcoins... like $150 worth of them for free.

One idea I had was to create a market for the buyers and sellers of medicinal herbs. ...

18 months ago that was what I planned for EMC2, coupled with a PHd Bio Chemist who made the recipes over 30 years. Sadly, she passed away last year so that was that.

However, if anyone is actually planning something along these lines, I would love a chat at some point. Still trying to get my hands on that recipe book, there are some crazy wild herbs and flowers all around that offer better results with various illnesses than pharma and no side-effects, unless you count some taste terrible as a side-effect.

One idea I had was to create a market for the buyers and sellers of medicinal herbs. It would be similar to the auction in Entropia. Presently legal cannabis suppliers could offer their products. The currency of the market could be Hemp coin. This means that the coin would be convertable to other national fiat currencies. The coin could have an exchange like Virwox. The coin would make profits from exchange and trading and distribute them to coin owners. My wife had an idea to use a virtual game like Farmville in a website. People could "plant" virtual herbs and the money would could be given as microloans to growers. The virtual game could host ads and storefronts as well as being part of a trading exchange. We recently bought a large and rather expensive book about Native American medicinal plants. This is one product Hemp coin could advertise and sell along with hemp products. http://www.essiacinfo.org/

I think it would be a lot easier to get stores, producers and such to use THC/HEMP if we had a popular app with a million users.
