So this dev has a community that has made him a nice website, promo video, HTML5 wallet with social integration.. and he's not even here to support it. What a joke, other coins would kill to have this community. Sad to see
Once there are a few more ETH clones out I think I will turn this to an ETH clone. We can always change code base again next year when something better than Ethereum comes out.
Bitcoin clones don't scale. I want to make a popular app that is cheap to run.
I bought some for cheap. But is there even a dev?

orig dev is absent a long time, but reachable, i think. quite a bit of coding talent in the community here, were pulling together well for quite a while, but interest must wander when the price stays so low for so long. biggest obstacle i see is the borken PoS for about a year now

i'm no coder and this is a question for one, but VNL is deving a new type of network functionality for peercoin offspring. if i understand it right it might be easy to port THC to this protocall, (dev is available for help on irc) and we might enjoy instant transactions (less than 1 second - respendable) and full staking wallets for portable devices (that use only micro-amps (battery lasts days) it'd be gr8 if someone with enough experience w/coding would have a look.

Ethereums blockchain is way better. I believe if this coin was switched to be an Ethereum clone that my scalability issue with https://hemp.cash would be resolved.
Right now I can get about 500 users on hemp.cash for $5 of server fees + a lot of work maintaining a bunch of servers. Ethereum might be able to handle 100,000 users for $50 on 1 server (I haven't tested things out yet). hemp.cash went viral and crashed after getting 10,000 users in 48 hours.
Ethereum also has smart contracts.
10k users in 48 hours? Omg, the demand!!! (or spammers or ddos) Either way, there was THC attention.
There's enough community here yet, I believe things can happen.

I was thinking of doing something like EtherCoin. I would buy 1,000,000 THC, store them offline and create a 1:1 NXT token. This would allow people to store their coins securely with me and trade them using a decentralized platform. I would then do the same thing with XCP, Ethereum, HZ, NXT. Any decentralized trading platform.
What do people think?

This might be a good idea. I wonder how many THC would be enough to get the PoS part of this coin fixed. I've seen some cryptocoin devs for hire in the last 3 months.
