Hello,

I really like your pool and its multi-pool concept.  Any chance you will add PPCoin to go along with Terracoin and then perform auto switching between these two SHA-256 types?

I think this would be cool too ^  Wink

TRC is adjusting difficulty on every found block - I'm not even sure it would make any sense to switch in and out of it, unless there there significant power inside the pool so it can find a block with high probability before difficulty adjusts. Total TRC Network is about 300 MHS, so if multipool would have about 150, it could work.

Would also be nice to have 2-3 TH/s and mine BTC as a baseline and switch in and out of TRC/PPC when it is profitable.

Nibble may be a good choice to add to MultiPort. It seems to have wild swings in difficulty (with 2016 Block Difficulty Retarget). Yesterday, it was running at 300% with only 1/12 orphans. Just something to keep an eye on.

An issue is that the donations aren't covering the costs, and each additional coin adds more overhead (and more cost) for upkeep...

The donations have been on the rise lately..  I need to finish the code changes so that I know exactly how much is coming in.  That way, I'll know what the income is and how much I can afford to spend monthly on server resources.

Oh, that's great to hear! It looks like the hash rate has been going up a little as well?

I think we're 'over the hump', so to speak.  Smiley

Hi,

I've seen this asked but didn't find an answer to it:
I added payout addresses and specifically NOT marked "lock", yet still I find they are locked.
How can I unlock them, since I want to change them?
Or flound, could you remove them, if unlocking is not possible? (Username same as here)

Thanks
BTW, I noticed it sometimes takes a few mins to do the switchover on the multiport. How do you do it? I made good experience with having port forwarding via rinetd and just restarting rinetd in the background with another config and thus the switchover can occur in less than 2 seconds. Also experimenting with controlling cgminer/bfgminer directly via API commands for switch-over without hashing-downtime at all. If you're interested, let me know.

The switch is instant (actually, there is a 2 second delay).  The hashrate is what takes time to update since it is a 5 minute average inserted directly into the db by the pool software.

The lock thing is kind of a kludge right now. Basically, the lock is account-wide.  I need to change it so it's coin-specific.  If you need something unlocked currently I need to do it manually.

You can setup bots at the exchanges to auto sell all the coins as soon as they are confirmed.

Do you know any exchange that trades the coins mined by multipool and offers a bot like this?
I'm currently using cryptsy.com but I can't find anything about setting up a bot there.

My favorite exchange is btc-e.com, I have seen bots for it, it does have: TRC, LTC, NVC AND FTC. So, it is 4 out of 7 coins of the multipool. I think MNC will die soon enough, so you don't have to worry about it. So, you only have WDC and DGC to sell, which are both traded at crypto-trade.com (it also has FTC, LTC, TRC). Crypto-trade has API, so somebody will make a bot for it soon enough.

Your multipool is mining LTC, it's not the most profit on coinchoose or coinwarz

If it's mining LTC, that means the site has calculated it to be the most profitable of the coins we offer.  We don't offer every coin on coinchoose.
I mean DGC and WDC got higher profit at that time.

Only when not accounting for stales and orphans.

I just set hashrate back to a 5 minute average for most pools..  At 2 minutes things jump around quite a bit.

I know BTC-E does.  Cryptsy has an api, but I'm not sure if it allows buying and selling.

Auto-sell for BTC and/or LTC is something I'm considering for the future.

Cool, that would be a killer feature Smiley

I am going to start using a coin's bid price, or a weighted average of the top X bids to determine a coin's price, rather than the last trade price.  This should be more accurate than the last trade price which can be more easily manipulated with small trades.

ETA for this is unknown at the moment, but I'm hoping to have it finished within the next 2 days.
