Prioritizing safety means knowing why accidents happen and working tirelessly to improve. A good reminder that claiming the tech isn't at fault isn't enough -- how can industry make tech part of the solution along the way, not only in an end-goal vacuum?  https://buff.ly/2ojuRtZ

Yes, autonomous transport looks safer. If we take the movement of cars on the road, as an example. I know that the rules of the road work fine if we do them! And autonomous vehicles will not ignore the rules. It looks like a lot safer.
It's just that people still do not trust this 100%. There is a fear that somewhere there will be a program error, etc.

DAV – The blockchain based transportation protocol

We are glad to announce that DAV (DAV), the token of the DAV Network, will be traded on HitBTC starting September 3rd, 11 AM UTC.

DAV is a blockchain based transportation protocol that enables a decentralized, peer to peer, global transportation network. Their underlying open-source and free-to-use infrastructure enables decentralized and ultimately autonomous vehicles (such as cars, drones, boats, and robotics) to discover, communicate and transact with one another using DAV Tokens. This creates a decentralized transportation ecosystem where anyone can buy or sell transportation services while utilizing the world’s first “Coin of Transportation” cryptocurrency token.
The DAV Foundation is supported by Stellar Advisory Board, including current and former executives from companies such as General Motors, SAP, Ford, UPS, IBM, Cisco, and Google along with the government organizations such as NASA and the FAA.
The company’s recent accomplishments include DAV Tokens being classified as utility tokens by the Swiss regulator and joining initiatives such as MOBI, alongside with top brands such as BMW, GM, Ford, IOTA, Botsch, and IBM. They also facilitate an organization called the DAV Alliance, which currently consists of 20+ brands that are committed to integrating the DAV protocol into their own specific use cases.

What do you mean by letting my car drive itself?

Self-driving cars- meaning they do not need human input to function:

"Granting licenses to test this technology in the real world is a pivotal part of making autonomous vehicles a reality," says DAV CCO John Frazer, of the permit received by Renault Samsung to test their autonomous vehicles on Korean roads: https://buff.ly/2owOSgG

is there something in code or similar that prevents any further minting of tokens?or that’s dev side that this just wont be ever done.

Thanks for bringing this question from the Telegram channel. It is indeed hard coded as I understand it. You can take a look at the contract here: https://etherscan.io/token/0xd82df0abd3f51425eb15ef7580fda55727875f14#readContract

Sorry, now I am trying to understand how the lists can be expanded. As an example under "plug types" there are a number of plugs. Great. But I would imagine for small drones wireless charging would be a good method. For really large drones, I would imagine a larger set of connections. Is this list it for dav or have they indicated the list will be malleable.
Every other list is exhaustive or general enough. But it owuld be cool if there was an "other" plug that inclduded contacts pads and wireless charging
Remote systems need secured authentication, drones coordonate each other in space, thus valuable goods (if delivery drones) stay safe when connecting with each other. Why would dav blockchain be needed for plugs?
