Maybe you can start a TRK page on Crypto-city, because I didn't know about this until today.

It might be a good idea to move wallet.dat from roaming app data too.
Like hide it in a different folder, in case hacker can backdoor one's computer.
Maybe, even rename the wallet and still leave .dat as the extension.
I am also wondering noise23, if they got access to the TEK wallet info too?
Since you coded several TEK wallets also. That could be an even bigger mess.

There is no point to keep TRK wallets online until the update is ready.

So should we keep our wallets locked or shut down?

btw, I noticed someone jumping to the top of presstabs rich list literally overnight. I thought to myself "how could this be possible"?  because I watch the market every day and no one , that i saw, was buying or could buy that much truck in 24 hrs (over 4000000)

TRK coins on exchanges will be unfrozen when new wallet version released and exchanges re-sync the blockchain.
It will take some time but it will be days, definitely not months.

Thank you guys. Let's wait, i hope to recover stolen TRK or at least big part of it with hardfork.
Stakes for the last days will get discarded but it will re-stake again.

In small words....what happen to our TRK coins on exchanges?
Just to know if i have to start to be scared or not....

Suspending the exchanges right away and planning a hard fork was a good move imo.  I don't know if it is possible to take a snapshot or something with the address balances just prior to the theft and restart the new chain with those balances?  Maybe by disregarding all transactions after a certain block height?  For me, it would be a small price to pay in staking and trades to get a recovery of value for noise23 even if we went back a couple weeks.  (Just ideas)

Other thoughts: if we hard fork perhaps we could add some support for private messages being sent to addresses and public block chain memo's. (This might be helpful for eventual use by merchants to acknowledge invoice payments or provide other information, for example G3N, XQN)

It is hard to fully understand what motivates somebody to do something like this.  Going forward I'm supportive of most anything we need to do to get truck running smoothly again.

Hello guys, here's what happened:

My main PC was compromised and huge amounts of coins including TRK were stolen.
The criminal also got access to my files including TRK private keys.
"dead-please-move-along" is a network alert message sent by that stinking vermin using stolen priv key.

Bittrex and Cryptopia TRK markets were suspended by my request.
There will be a hardfork to clean the mess.

Please close your TRK wallets for now.
Need some time to figure everything out, negotiate with exchanges, etc.

I Know whats happening but its better if he explains it I don't want to talk out of turn.
For now it might be best to close your TRK wallet until we hear from Noise23 that should be happening soon.

I got the same message today, "dead-please-move-along-Thanks!" It was a network alert. Loks like someone hacked into our network.
Wallet is working fine, blockchain is moving, and still staking. So, not real sure whats up with network alert?
Maybe trying to cause a panic to buy real cheap! Then resell at a higher price? Bought my first Truck coins before noise23 took over as dev.
Yes we really could use some marketing! Need some ideas, to work with. Need more new wallet holders, to buy some Truck coins.
Real world use for coins to buy goods, and or services, would be a start. Let's post some ideas, on ways to get more people interested in Truck coin.
I will look around and see if I can come up with some ideas. One off hand would be using Truck coin as a medium of exchange, used to buy other coins
at an exchange. Like Doge, Litecoin, Ripple, and some other coins. We can check other BCT threads and see what they do to get more interest in
their coins. Giveaways are good for tweets or posts to receive free Truck coins. Let's put our thinking caps on and come up with some more ideas.
Maybe could get listed at Bleutrade, too.

I got a really weird network message the other day: 'dead-please-move-along-Thanks'.  Being the hungry ghost that I am, I rebooted my router instead of dumping my truck on the market, but the message persists.  It looks like something is going on with the IRC stuff and some 'smutfairy' was or is routing messages through my wallet or something.  Is the IRC code needed in the wallet any longer?  (I've never used it)  Any thoughts on this? Any recommendations?

I am ready to put time and coin into supporting a marketing plan but first I think that a white paper or a comprehensive expose' on the benefits and advantages of POS needs to be put together. Investors need to have a better grasp of the mechanics of pos vs pow versus what ever hybrids are out there functioning on the horizon.  I think there needs to be a flow chart of what TRK will look like in its growth arc over a 5 year period along with plans, ideas, projections regarding inflation, inflations controls, what those controls will look and feel like when implemented . In other words , the more one knows about POS and the more defined the plans and possibilities are with TRK, the quicker more solid investors will be attracted to the coin. And, this will bump the price and elevate the support lines on the charts. It should also cut down on current investors falling off the wagon, selling off valuable staking coins for next to nothing. If a person really understood the long term value of Truck and what their investment will look like after 1, 3 , 5 or more years they would never dump at such ridiculous prices.  Also, at the same time, a "reasonable" price and percentage of sell off of ones stake could be established to allow for enough coins to be flowing into the market thus keeping TRK looking healthy and robust on the exchanges.
So to finish up:
This type of data and information should be part of an upgraded website.  Any pos scholars or compilers out there? I have web making talented friends who I could enlist if they saw a group form, some community,  in communication on a regular basis, ready to make a commitment of time and coin. I could also help in compiling the information but I am not a techie.
