For all stakers:

If you want to see if your wallet split coins internally as it should
(for example if you have 10 000 coins in address, and you POS 100 coins, it should internally split to 2 adds with 5 050 coins each)

Go to  send - coincontrol - list mode

if you dont see coincontrol option in send page, go to:
wallet - options - display and enable coincontrol

and you should see it very clearly

My wallet will no longer stay up and running. As soon as I start it it disappears. Anyone else having this issue?
Same with me. The wallet crashed and system got down. I can't open my wallet anymore.

I did. Solved it deleting the database directory. I only had to delete that one, which doesn't include your wallet.

DO NOT delete your wallet if you have no backup.

Clearly you have no clue what you are writing, can't read and can't be arsed to do your own research/tests...it's like talking to a wall. Have fun with your life
Oh yes it is the simplest way to do that way.  Grin But you won't look smarter then you are.
It is the majority that have no clue, no interest, they sit still on their asses and are satisfied with what they get. The less you know the happier you are. Grin
If you can't answer the questions then pass by. Questions are ritorical - 99% don't know answers to them, because to have an answer you should be able to read the code of POS.

1. Having it on minimum or 2 days wont increase your pos block rewards. Stakemintime is deactivated with stakemindepth configured...and no no quotioent
2. Dunno could be either, you just have to wait and see
3. Well 1 Input with 5k weight has more weight then 1 with 250, but that 1 5k wont stake for 24h if it gets a pos block and also start at 0 weight while if one of the 20 inputs get a pos block, 19 other still staking
    # so technically if only those 2 were staking, the one with more inputs gets more rewards
    # min is 400 and max is 4000 for split and half of that for combine
4. well it wont be split then

1) And you still gave no answer or gave wrong, because having it on minimum will always maximize your chances to win. So what is the reason for this setting to exist if setting it bigger than 24 makes things only worse?
2) Wait and see because dev is not able to explain. Nice.
3) You are definetly wrong. Even it sample config it is not 400-4000
stakecombine=40
stakesplit=80
And you didn't answer the question. Once again. Both varians have 5000coins
a) 1 input * 5000 coins
b) 250 inputs*20 coins
Which variant has more chances to win POS (the first POS block. I'm not speaking about sequent blocks).
4) Where it is written? So that means that you will get stuck with big inputs with x16dayscoins if they didn't win POS before that?

1. stakemintime is disabled if stakemindepth is set
    # also it depends on your overall configuration together with input count, number of coins per input
    # having it at 1 day is not needed imo
    # at 1 day the weight for the input is 0, even setting mindepth at 2880 for 2 days, 400 coin input will have only 400 weight
    # you can let it be on 1 day, but don't think those 1-2 days old inputs will get pos block or even with 4 days
    # so for me it's for the clarity/visibility of using the more usefull inputs that may get a pos block and to show the weight of it

2. shows how many inputs are at those stages, as I haved moved inputs a lot, all of mine are still min age, avg age should be about 8 days
    # yes they have different weight, cause weight increases with coinage, so at max eight the input has the max weight it can get

1) Don't you think that you didn't answer the question? Probability is possibility so it is no sense to put anything more than minimum, unless this "stakemintime" is used if formula as some quotient and setting it to 16 will give you more "weight".
2) Avgage is exactly 8days (or the midddle between Max-Min) or it is the inner third period(6-11)?
3) 250*20 or 5*1000 or 1*5000 which one has more chances to win 1 POS (or they are equal)? What is the max-min of stakesplit? 20 - xxx? If the chances are equal than default 80 is false. The same with stakecombine.
4) it is written "Additionally if  the input was bigger than stakesplit (default: 400 ) and coinage was not max ( 16 days ) they will be split in 2 halfs"
So if coinage is max then what?

What are you looking for?
you can adjust your stakeminetime to 24 so your  coins start staking soon (won't make much of a difference at this point with 81+mil coins)
your stakemiedepth and stakeminetime fight with each other, I am unsure whom overrides whom if you have both I believe from what I have seen it is the 1000 confirmations override the 24 hours.
The stakecombine and stakesplit depend on how many coins you have and what YOU think will be the more likely size of transactions to stake. you can use coin control under send if you have the option enabled to create more inputs to help improve your chances but it would only be a tiny tiny  percent as the wallet is going to break your transactions down in size to match your split number over time and coinweight rules the day.

so if you had 1000 coins and only  adding in the 100 for POS with your current settings its will keep dividing your coins
first POS reward 1000 +100 would yield to a stack of 550 and a second stack of 550
one of those 550 get a result of 550+ 100 that would split into 325 and 325 plus you would still have your other 550 from the first split
coin weight on the 325 reset and the second 550 continue to grow, this keeps going by adding 100 for the POS, resetting the weight on the finding stack and splitting down to the size you have set.

you could put your combine to big units if you think the network will deal with bigger chunks, it might help you. Its hard to say your coin amount, the size of the transaction to stake along with up to 16 days of additional coin weight with luck added on top.

you are NOT going to get even a 1% advantage but finetuning your settings you are going to likely get a .000001% unless you are on the 100 rich list with over 100K coins and even then you still won't get an advantage greater than your coin count in the first place.

How would a simple guy know this, he would read the 50 pages of this thread, and talk to people on slack and telegram and he would play around with the wallet to see if one wallet setting works better than another.

I am on slack all the time as well as in the telegram group. if you are still confused by what has been said in these places ask your questions, experiment, see what others have found, but you are not going to ninja all the POS rewards.

-TC

Ok here are simple questions for not a simple guy.
1) What's the profit to set "stakemintime" 16days and not 1 or 2 or 7? What's the difference except that the staking will start later (if 16 is set) and you loose 16 days of staking?
2) What's the difference betweek minage avgage and maxagecoins? Do they have different weight or for what it is shown?

It'll probably fall down a bit when big holders will move funds on exhanges.. Hopefully.

I have to imagine your right, once a credible exchange takes us in (cryptopia, at the least) i'm fairly certain a lot of staked coins will come un-staked and transferred to the exchange. Thus, dropping difficulty, or at least slowing the rocket, haha

the opening post doesnt state how to stake coins.
i need a step by step guide.
thank you
You won't get it. I think that even dev doesn't know how it exactly works.

It's literally in the first post. How to set it up and a walkthrough of what all the options do.
One, the two steps for setting up staking already laid out for you in the announcement.

Quote
Create a file called Trezarcoin.conf (needs to be config File ) and place it into your /TrezarCoin/Data Folder.

irc=1
dns=1
qtstyle=2
daemon=1
server=1
stakegen=1
logtimestamps=1
minersleep=2000
stakemindepth=1000
stakemintime=24
stakecombine=40
stakesplit=80
port=17298
rpcport=17299
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

And two, the dev explains what all the parameters do in the announcement.

Go FUD somewhere else please, lets try and keep this post constructive.
It is enough for simple guys like you. But there is no explanation of the difference between settings in terms of profit.

difficulty is at a point where leaving the settings exactly as their pasted is your best bet. The maximum you can set for stakesplit is 4k, and you currently want the largest stake sizes you can get imo. Again, as its been said, there are no optimal settings, its all up to how you want to play the game. Thundercock explained it all for you, again. Can you please stop pretending were trying to keep you off of some big secret, because unless you have over 100-200k coins, the pasted .conf is the absolute optimal in my opinion.
