Someone said "Ubiq is the Jumbucks before." They have exchanged that is where the other cards came from. They are not all in the hands of the dev team, but in the hands of the former Jumbucks owners. " Can you tell me if this is true?

According to James Clayton the "jumbucks crew" is responsible for countless pump and dumps and scams...what the Ubiq community think about these accusations? I would have to do some digging to find the post from him but I believe they are archived in the expanse thread somewhere.

I have my own personal opinions on Clayton going back to 2014 and HZ (horizon) but I am curious as to why he has it out for jumbucks/ubiq?

An ETC'r trying to stir shit between ubiq and exp. Let it die. The only reason ETC exists is because charles needed a place to grind his axe before starting centralized shitcoin Cardano. James isnt even with Expanse anymore because they kicked him out.

Ubiq was a cheap EXP clone ...at least EXP is honest devs! :\ hmmm

Ubiq has done a good job in marketing, the team needs to work harder in technology, and it is very important to increase investor confidence in holding this coin.

bittrex shills of course good at devious methods of pump & dump + the code stealing vitaliks work is not rocket science :\ pfft

The advantage of UBQ is that teams take a more cautious approach to playing the ETH. ETH is at the forefront and often ignores new experimental and innovation features. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. UBQ has the advantage of seeing how things play in ETH from time to time before they actually implement the new features. So I think, ETH is a testing ground for UBQ features.

If UBQ desires stability of the platform, that is a conservative strategy to make. Unfortunately, that will ,ale UBQ a follower instead of a leading innovator in the crypto space.

Gubiq 1.5.14 has been released

The 1.5.13 release had a bug in reading transactions. Please upgrade to version 1.5.14 if you installed 1.5.13. If you are running a node which relies on archival transactions, please re-sync from scratch.

Thanks!

devs started off with 35m coins?

because 500 000 blocks x 8 (block reward) = 4 million coins mined so far

lel and there is 40m supply so devs has 35m coins pre mined ?

these premine coins are starting to look more pathetic everyday.

Jesus, could you stop being a dick for once and simpy ask a question like a normal human being instead of jumping to conclusions right away? How come nearly everything I read from you is you complaining about something you don't have any clue about? Stupid mnemonic seeds, alleged premines, "registered" addresses… I suggest you do some legwork and read up on the technicals on how blockchains work. This is not the first time I suggested this to you.

Ubiq was Jumbucks before. They did a swap. That's where the other tokens come from. They are not all in the hands of the dev team, but in the hands of former Jumbucks holders. It's even in the fucking opening post of this very thread:

January 28th 2017 will mark the inception of the new blockchain and transfer of value from the existing Jumbucks blockchain to the Ethereum based Ubiq blockchain. The new chain will bring about many new capabilities through smart contracts, giving us a far greater opportunity for lasting applications while still having the existing value and stability from an established 3 year old market.

And now I'm gonna put you on my ignore list. I don't want to deal with that level of negativity and stupidity in combination.

jyap owes about 10BTC that he scammed from one bittrex user ~ i'd imagine these types of people will not even go to the police but just find him at some tradeshow somewhere? :\ your guess is a good as mine,,, hmmm

Ubiq has been a favorite of mine thus far Smiley
Bought some tokens off of Cryptopia and I still think that this one is a total bargain, such low price for a token with such high potential, don't let this opportunity pass you by, folks Smiley

Gubiq v1.5.13 released!

This release is an optional upgrade but is highly recommended.

This will likely be the last release before a hard fork upgrade to change the Proof of Work algorithm detailed in UIP 1.

Find it at: https://github.com/ubiq/go-ubiq/releases/tag/v1.5.13

I  see the new PoW algorithm will be Keccak-256 or Keccak-512.

Are there any Keccak-256 or Keccak-512 ASICS available?

That question makes a few assumptions and also jumps to technically incorrect conclusions. Any ASIC would need to be purpose built

ethash uses keccak-256 and keccak-512 internally, we are moving away from keccak.
