I just won an antminer S3 from the mining pool that I posted about a week ago or so! If you have SHA-256 rigs, they still are giving away 1 a day until end of August, and a 12.5% bonus using PPS method.
Just a friendly heads up, you can accumulate a nice amount of bitcoin right now with that bonus. I wonder if the VeriPool is taking advantage of it? I see that multipool.us is switching its bitcoin mining operation over to it as well.

As a not so tech guy which would assume to be the future avg. user black halo was a fail. One I'm a Mac man so I can't get it. Two I have to download a program I don't trust crypto that much to keep downloading programs especially from third parties. Three if I want to use a tablet as a POS contract I can't with black halo. Now I'm not saying the black halo idea isn't a good one it's just not very functional.
If im correct, we will get stuff far superior to blackhalo and co

How do you know Gavin didn't work for months on that yellow paper? Give Doug a break, I talk to him frequently on IRC and he is working hard on multiple things at once. I know what your going to say "He needs to Prioritize!", while I do agree that there should be a steady follow of releases it doesn't always work out that way.
Mass adoption is a possibility but is a long way off and there may be to many steps to achieve this lofty goal.
I think what Vericoin needs to do is focus on the currency aspect...even bitcoin hasn't even achieved this in my eyes.
We need to focus on the three S's;
1. Simple - simple to use, simple to understand
2. Secure - needs to be the most secure crypto there is, password to send, 2FA, multi-sig
3. Spendable - this one is hardest aspect that all of crypto is dealing with...why do people need to use it? I think we should be focusing on being your own bank, you are in control of your money. How its spent, how its stored, how it's saved! We need to show the long-term and short-term aspects...
Sorry guys these are just random thoughts following out of my brain...just woke up lol
aside from vericoin, I invested in bitsharesx - because i find there are a lot of intelligent people on that thread~lol. to be honest tho, my head hurts reading what they are saying - it is very interesting and futuristic, but i doubt the general public can easily grasp what it is for..i'm just picking up on it.

Like ereborltc, I'm an investor and have limited programming skills(working on that, decided to go back to school for this very thing). But I think people need to share their thoughts and ideas. This is the communities coin, not just the Devs...they've repeated this over and over.
I'm really liking this calm and constructive discussion going on in the last few pages, I'm really hoping this continues. Just in the last few posts; some great ideas and thoughts.
This is how I remembered the Vericoin community and why I invested in it.
For a select few who seem to want to be the bull in the china shop....I think we should just ignore and continue discussing and sharing our thoughts and ideas.
