We discussed that for long already. You remember when I started to talk in this thread about Ethereum, Gavin Wood's white paper, blockchain 2, Counterparty, etc. and you joined the conversation and subscribed to the idea. Since the devs are not interested and they have no skills to implement any blockchain 2 features no point to discuss that further.

I guess you don't even know how capable our dev. are Smiley You would be surprised I guess. But Programming takes a lot of time. Just take look at DRK and how long it took them to develop just one thing. Darksend+ took over 6 months and still not completed. While Blockchain 2 is another caliber. I guess you know how many well skilled people work full time on Ethereum while we just have 3 devs with family and dayjobs working on this coin.

You can't expect anything groundbreaking and outstanding by them in a short time. Development is time consuming especially when you code new things.

But I have to say our developer are really skilled and doing very well at what they are doing.

All right Galix, you are 23 years old and your enthusiasm and interest in software development is great, but I have been coding software, working with developers and investing in software companies for over 25 years. So lets not discuss what software development requires terms of resources. No disrespect but you don't know that.

You have no idea about Ethereum. The core component, the cpp-ethereum is virtually written by one guy. I actually know Gavin Wood and yes he is quite exceptional developer/scientist, but still the 40 people of the ethereum team has nothing to do with the core component. Similarly, only Peter Todd and btcdrak work on the viacoin ClearingHouse, terms of team size less then the 3 VRC devs.

If the VRC devs would have the adequate skill set and they would start coding then it would be possible to compete. They just don't do the work.

As someone that holds VRC, I have to say the news is underwhelming and was way drawn out.
Another coin I hold will be using the same card company but did not make a spectacle out of the announcement.
Really hope next time you guys announce something you don't do it premature, drag on for a week, and it turns out not to be that big of a deal.

Also when people start using the card, the circulation will be much greater!

Except, nobody is going to use the card only bag holders, hardcore cheerleaders and fanboys. Apart from this small problem, the worldwide mass adoption plan is great.

Very good news.

Now I recomend,

UI wallet GUI improvement.
UI wallet multilanguage pack.
Some kind of auto-backup of wallet.dat to pre-selected location after every transaction in numbers aka wallet1.dat to wallet10.dat with an overwrite option.
Android wallet to be capable of stacking.

For the plan yes. The problem is the worldwide mass adoption plan is completely infeasible. Even BTC struggles with that worldwide mass adoption.

What are your Idea behind blockchain 2? What would bring something to VRC that makes it unique and actually brings value to it because VRC is getting more useful then now?

We take things for granted around here but my mother and other old people listen to my wife and I go on and on about crypto. They can get from one step to the other but don't understand it enough for all the uses like smart phones. A card is perfect like Yoshi stated earlier. I know plenty of people that bought btc early but its been siting on coinbase for over a year because they do not understand it enough or are to lazy to learn.

c'mon guys.. one step at a time.. devs can't be doing everything at once.. we are lucky they are still here and haven't run away.. look at P&D coins.. it took bitcoin 3+ years to get where it was.

card is great IMHO.. it will help in the mass adoption.. for starters anyway - for people who are too lazy to learn the technical side of digital currency
damn great point +100000000000000000

I'm thinking this is VERI good news for Vericoin and the future of Digital Currencies

LoL Are you doing a stand up here? LoL

What the VRC credit card does with the future of Digital Currencies? There will be hundreds of BTC and other crypto currency cards on the market when the vericoin card is out.

any development is still better than no development at all

Yes, that's actually true. On the other hand if you think about that nothing was delivered in the last 8 weeks, the market has been waiting for the big announcement and the big news is a fucking centralized credit card for the decentralized vericoin from the noname Coinsis then it's just another disappointment.

Yet again, you continue to spread this rubbish. It is no even centralized. No 3rd party required. Do you understand that? Why are you just posting lies?

The future of Digital curriences IMO is in "mass adoption" this will move digital curriencies in that direction

and we will all see about what coins have what features when Vericoin has a the VeriCard and BTC has the BitCoinCard.

edit: in the interest of full disclosure Black Coin will also have a card issued by Coinsis. These three are they only digital curriencies I know of today which are signed up with a company that will do the things the coinsis technoligies say they will.

Keep in mind it is human nature to want choices. Bitcoin is not everyones first choice or why would there be other coins. Can Vericoin overtake Bitcoin? Doubt it because the devs would have to have millions backing them as the Bitcoin industry/cap is in the billions. Can Vericoin get a piece of the pie? Of course it has a chance at becoming the #2 coin or atleast a top 5. Vericoin devs are smart enough they figured out not just a way to become "an option" in alts but tag along side Bitcoin with veribit.

Dang, look at buy4crypto go, he's more active than ever. I wonder why that is?

You get a card yet?  go try

In other statements by Coinsis it says  sign-ups are to begin in around three weeks.

Use of the VeriCard will start in the fall.

Yes, this is what Coinsis is promising. Will it actually happen? I believe so but you never know until Coinsis makes it happen.

Such is the digital currency world.

The Dev's have checked these guys out it. I trust their assessment.

This wasn't an overnight decsion or deal.

People will think what they want.

Ok I missed that, thank you.

So at the moment the credit card feature is another future promise?  I will not debate you if it becomes reality or not, to each his own.
