in VeriCoin you only need to open your wallet once a year to earn interest. However, all the time your wallet is open you are earning compound interest and transactions fees. So you will earn interest in a complete cold storage wallet opened once a year, but you will earn more by keeping it open.

I should also mention, we are considering hiring some PR folks to help us promote the coin and get businesses interested in accepting it. We will be raising a bounty soon and I will post some more information in the coming days. I hope those of you with deep VRC and BTC wallets can help us out.

I paid 2100 so yea your price is ALOT better then mine. Seems like a good development team but lacking on getting the word out. Also need to brand the coin better the name doesn't stick out. It has potential but we will see.
Yeah same here, i'm holding all my coins. Some news would be nice, harder to recover from even lower prices imo. (but not impossible)

Hey guys, good news on the multipool front-- we were having issues getting prices with the PoloniEX API. We solved that problem. Hopefully with that barrier down we can be finished tonight and everyone will get their payouts. Once payouts are complete, we will stop the pool for a few hours while we make some last minute changes and we will officially open the Beta up for miners. It will be in Beta much like Gmail was in Beta for a few years... because we will be implementing new features over time we can't promise we won't accidentally break something.

lol...it atleast has SOME innovation so that puts it way ahead of most of the crap out there. i think the price will rise just cus of the interest thing
Innovation is only as good as the marketing behind it. Plenty of crap products on the market that are very successful due to the promotion of the brand.

I C irony in the fact that the integral ingredient in crypto is "Share".I believe "This Bit Coin Stuff" can be a force for social change. Bank, Credit Card companies, and all mainstream Financials R threatened. When a country (China) bans participation in an activity U know it must be significant.
As with anything Humans R involved with, "quick buck" artists, scammers, and cheats hamper purists. (Some call it the "Wild WesT"). One "Monkey in the wrenches" can setback those on the "True Path".
The VeriCoin group of Developers and the "Community" they have attracted with their ideas and diligence R on the path the "Great Gift of Satoschi" intended. For me,the social experiment that is Crypto-Currency is a manifestation of freedom which only Digital-Cyber capabilities can provide. But Trust, and Honesty, are the integral imputs, for this financial/commercial experiment to thrive.
To my way of thinking The VeriCoin team is setting a standard for the CryptoCoin Industry to emulate
