I think the community has spoken - new ann it is.

Any volunteers to proof read and give feedback (tomorrow) before it I post it to the public? (edok?)

I could proofread it if you still want me to. Send me a PM. I have a little time this afternoon, I'll be out tonight (I'm on PST) but will have some time mid-day tomorrow if you can wait that long. Otherwise it looks great!  Smiley

A few points:
- just an observation that the webmining crashed my phone when I visited the new site with it. Maybe not running by default it for mobile devices would be a good idea.

- I have a question regarding webmining. I assume it is not a scrypt algo, but something very lightweight?
So, is that algorithm more power efficient in terms of hashes/sec?
How is it protected from abuse? Thinking about someone modifying the webmining code that would allow it to calculate hashes at full cpu power?

- I have no problem with allocating some WOLF from the (now comes the ugly word) "premine" for development and promotion.
I welcome this open discussion especially in the light of dev taking 0,65 BTC for hosting costs from the phase 2 funds without any previous notice.
Did I say phase 2 funds? Oh yeah, we are still missing an explanation regarding where the rest of the 5 BTC pot went.

In the meanwhile the P2Pool is going strong. Already providing 15 MH/s, which is 65% of the whole network.  Cool

Yes, it's important to have a plan for the rest of the WOLF the Dev has control of. There's quite a few coins left over from the premine yes? Does anyone know how many are left? Is there a possibility those coins could be destroyed? Handing out coins causes dumping, I'd suggest those left over coins be gotten rid of as originally planed.

wait the update from the dev now/ Smiley

The bigger picture is that roughly half the coins in existence are distributed already

How many coins are currently in circulation dev? A couple of months ago you mentionned 173k but after that I saw 199k on the sell board and that was without my own holdings. It would be good to know how many coins are currently out there.

There's also the issue of a development and marketing budget which has never been discussed, but given the growing scope of the project now compared to a 9 week game, some provision may need to be made.

I agree that you and NWO should be paid for the work that you are doing for the coin. Maybe we could distribute a few batches of the pot to you two?
yes I agree with this!

NWO: any idea how to start the price raise? The price of the batches is obviously not possible any more. Will it be replaced by an updates version or do you have another idea?

If the past few weeks have shown anything, it's that technical merit drives demand. Let's not try to run before we can walk.

The bigger picture is that roughly half the coins in existence are distributed already, the other half remains to be distributed, and it'll take over a year to mine even 10% of the coins available (and much much longer thereafter).

The distribution of remaining coins does need simplified however, perhaps split in to 3-4 IPO rounds where all funds acquired make buy walls. The matter needs discussed in more detail, NWO and I have started to discuss, and will in more detail this week - all thoughts and comments are welcome in this respect. There's also the issue of a development and marketing budget which has never been discussed, but given the growing scope of the project now compared to a 9 week game, some provision may need to be made.

For now forging ahead with technical progress, rebranding, and relaunching should do much to have a positive impact and drive demand.

MsCollec: simple, in browser mining. It opens mining up to multiple devices, and also provides an alternative monetization approach to website owners. If you consider a small website with say 1000 visitors per day, each mining an average of 3 shares. That single website owner thus mines 3000 shares of the coin per day, which can be a source of revenue, or donation to charity, or revenue split on a forum, or larger shares to unlock downloadable content, and so forth. It also allows in-game mining (web or console).. as a side note.

I'm in the process of setting up a p2pool for Wolf.
It's already up and working, but I need to test it still to make sure it is working fine.
Details later.

I think it deserves a new [ANN] since it's basically a new coin. Otherwise it would create quite a bit of confusion for new users scrolling through the thread history.

Agreed. This is a very innovative movement occurring and deserves as much exposure as possible.
ANN and big promotions, pls!
