You could double or triple the block reward to keep the distribution plans unchanged.  Or accept that your timeline will be expanded by 2 or 3 times, in terms of distribution schedule...

I also think that the PoS only option should be taken down as a vote item.  Our lead developer recommends keeping it, and it doesn't sound like there is anything to gain by eliminating the maintenance reward for PoW at the end of the distribution schedule.  Unless I'm missing something.

MrData, would you mind weighing in on hybrid PoW / PoS vs just PoS?  It's a highly technical question / decision involving network security and stability, and I don't know that I fully understand the pro's & con's on both sides.

Is one method more secure than the other?  If switched to 100% PoS, in your opinion would that pose a risk or potential problems?

I like keeping both active just because it makes coins more reliable; you don't have to have wallets open all the time and there are no periods of slowness when there are periods of less weight on the network.

When we reach 1 coin per block, how many coin will be mined in a year? Do I need addnodes in the latest wallet? It doesn't sync on a new PC.

If you keep the current 30 second block time 1,051,200 WSX would be minted per year.
No addnodes are needed, it has the seednodes built-in. From a blank install it will connect to them within about 30-45 seconds.

ACN mentioned earlier that it will help fixing forks if we go up to to 60 or 90 second block. What do you think about that and that means the total coin minted per year will reduce to 525600 or 350400 per year?

If the coin goes to pure POS will WSX add a multipool?

A pool that uses hash power of its miners to create various alt coins, the more algo's the better that way anyone can mine it, and pay out in WSX
select the most profitable altcoins using a smart algorithm and buy WSX with smartpool funds.
That way the coins are always in demand because the multi pool will always have to buy WSX to pay miners with.

 Huh

That is the natural way to go if we're going POS. The only issue that's been going on with Mint/Asia/Zeit, etc is that they have a bunch of competing multipools and not very many want to get paid out in a lesser value coin which I hope not the case for WSX down the road.

I've noticed that we have some Chinese friends mining on SuperNova. Welcome!!!

What if? LOL WSX made it's own multi pool kind of like MMXIV. WSX foundation for humanity pool. and a small percentage went to the WSX foundation fund so the fund is always increasing and making WSX more rare, yet still providing the charity piece of the pie so no one yells scam. Also make the foundation extremely transparent, showing where the funds go as to give miners a double warm fuzzy, profit and charity...
I like that idea. WSX Foundation  Smiley Let's finish the coin specs and we will go from there.

That will also assure the coin will receive hash from POS wallets and exchanges and multipool operator's to keep the chain moving and help secure it.

The donation addy still needs to be added to the OP for transparency sake.

http://explore.was.club/address.php?chain=2&addr=wRZmMiWiFar8kxE3JrFdr1z5ietdpqBUYb

Added. Thanks for letting us know.

Please be aware / prepared to see the full contents of this address moved to a new address in the coming days.  Brian will be taking control of the donation address and charity initiatives.

Just want to make sure no one screams scam when the wallet has 0 coins in it! lol

Just make sure to post the new addy when the coins are moved. Transparency should eliminate that issue.

I'll put both on OP when we're done with the move.

For the good of the coin's infrastructure, I would recommend the next topic being put up for vote would be to increase the block rewards to a more reasonable speed.  30 seconds doesn't bring significantly more value to the coin, and it is proving to be detrimental to mining pools.  60 - 90 seconds would solve a lot of the problems with the mini - forks and pools dropping offline.

I think it should be included with the next release since it doesn't change anything but to better stability the coin's infrastructure. Aren't most of the coins out there are on 60 second block?

I have all my coin on exchange, now need bak to the new wallet for change name? or exchange change name?
I think exchanges compile their wallet directly from GitHub. We might have to contact them to update the ticker. Maybe after the POS change. MrData?
