Hi, I want to ask again, It's no problem to win. But are site owners understanding of what exactly XCP is and how to implement it?

I'd assume they'd send back all the vote money if they were unable to implement the exchange API

I voted. Hope they add XCP/BTC. Someone should guide cryptorush how to XCP

he who has the gold makes the rules
Counterpoint members get occupied with short term value? Better make the coin to something great and forget about short term.
On Crypto Rush I expect most clients will have no idea what Counterparty is. On such exchanges the value is in the hands of wolfs, whales and short term Pumpers-Dumpers.
Learn from Mastercoin and Angelshares. They include all innovations from competitors. They introduce the developers.

WHO ARE THE DEVELOPERS OF COUNTERPOINT?

TO KNOW THEM COULD STRONGLY CONTRIBUTE TO GOOD PR AND TRANSPARENCY

I don't think it matters, the code matters and what people use it for (bad or good).  And may I point out that Mastercoin does have anonymous developers as well.

Does it have to be a game?

How about a vitual 3D community where i can walk down a virtual high st, and go into a virtual store that has actually been setup to sell real stuff, with the protocol being used as the backend of transactions.
How about, after ive chatted with the silver bullion store owner and maybe bought or sold something, i leave the store and walk down to Satoshi Sq where the exchange building sits. Maybe i need to exchange some alts, because on the way i was chatting to the news-stand guy (he asks for tips for breaking news), and he seems to think that AcmeCoin is due for a pump. I leave the exchange after getting my AcmeCoin, and notice a new games arcade has just opened up opposite the casino....... you get the picture.

Surely just a natural progression, using new decentralised technology/merchant systems, no?

I worked for Electric Communities back in the day. We had OnLive Traveler (3d voice worlds) and ThePalace (2d chat) back then. Our group consulted to 2nd Life early in their life. So I am all too familiar with this.

Which is why I think starting with simple phone/tablet based games and then moving to augmented reality games can be killer.

Imagine you walk to a black door in the real world wearing something cooler than google glass, you say a secret phrase to yourself, wave your hand, and the door opens to a casino or a night club. The bartender already has your drink.

so i got bored over the weekend and went on odesk and paid a little change to have someone make a banner for one of the reddit pages

this is not the final since he misunderstood the directions and made the candies way too small and a few other errors...  the role of this imagery is to encourage people who are game designers and not finance oriented people. i'm sure the other reddits will have that all covered for you traders.

Hey it's cute. I like it.

Do you plan to use it as part of a campaign?

i'm going to put it on the counterparty reddit  for now (well the new version when it is finished, it was supposed to read XCP not X, and the candies that you can barely see are supposed to be a lot bigger), then when i get a chance do a bounty for someone to write a game that uses assets

haven't figured out yet what the game would be or how it would work though

coincidentally my idea around using assets that can float between games i should credit to an old patent i read many years ago that has surely expired.  it was written by Trip Hawkins (CEO of 3d0 and founder of EA).  the patent was basically about game character dna that you could take from one game to another, so your items would be useful in many games.  i had the pleasure to meet Trip many years ago and that idea has always stuck with me as futuristic and cool

That's an idea that has me really thinking.

Let's say we could have some sort of hierarchical way of organising user created assets. For argument sake: asset "RPG1" is issued by yourself. You should only be able to issue further assets under RPG1. However, under RPG1 you could be free to issue as many sub assets as you feel fit. Almost like subreddits. Eg RPG1.gold, RPG1.silver, RPG1.ruby.cracked, RPG1.longsword. Where RPG1 is your game.

If the above mentioned assets could find themselves onto an exchange, you would be able exchange RPG1.longsword = RPG2.shortswords. Where RPG2 is from a different game.

One way of controlling the sale of such game assets would be to have an auction house that is basically a view onto the DEX.

Even better, those assets could be traded for 'real' BTC...

The way to gain adoption is to have the respective APIs available that game developers could easily use...

I think the ebay sniper technique would be better on crypto rush.

Definitely in the lead if someone who's BTC rich wants to blast votes at zero hour that'd be cool

I'm sure it will end in the number one spot, but does cryptorush realise implementing XCP is not the same as implementing, for example litecoin?

Good news, everyone!

The hacker (a bit of a misnomer, as he has pointed out) returned 50 BTC, and I have just distributed it to affected users. Looks like the other 65 will be sent, too.

Busoni

Once you get back all 115 BTC and you have distributed them to the affected account holders, the situation will hopefully be completely remedied. I understand that the withdrawn 7000 XCP have been mitigated by the 12 BTC you received from the developers.

The commission of 2.5% that you have levied to raise 115 btc should ideally go to the bugs and security bounties now. You should have had a volume of at least 200 BTC since you raised the commission so I am guessing approximately 10 btc raised so far. Will you please consider donating these to the bounty?

I thank the person returning all the coins back to you and I hope the devs are able to involve him as an external security auditor as originally intended by them before he went AWOL

12 BTC did not buy 6100 XCP. I'm going to take inventory of everything now and see what the situation is. The white hat actually explicitly waived his claim to the 12 BTC, but I still think he should have anything left over.

Thanks Busoni for the update. Will wait for your inventory to complete.

Looks like the biggest loss sustained now is by the dev team to the tune of 12 btc given to lower losses at the exchange and busoni who will figure out the extent of his loss after his inventory is done. The biggest gainers are the chaps who withdrew XCP bought at highly subsidized rates to the tune of 6100 XCP. I once again appeal them to return back the XCP to Busoni.

A hacker - white hat now - voluntarily returned back 115 BTC, a fairly substantial amount, that he did not have to. This raises the bar IMO for the cheap XCP buyers from our community. Show some heart and return them. Any returns will only bolster the bounties program that much more. You will now also be able to get back the BTC with which you made these cheap purchases since the full amount is now returned to Busoni so it is no loss to you.

Hope to see the old rates back @ Poloniex swiftly now so that new members of our growing community are not disincentivised.

Lost our top spot to be the next coin on the Cryptorush exchange

You can cast votes by sending bitcoin to an address there.
If you go to our address there is .4 BTC pending for a few hours. I wonder when that will go through?
