I can see some altcoin teams are postponing releases probably waiting until the BTC hype settles. Maybe that is also the case here.
I think a lot of altcoins are holding off on launches until closer to some Bitcoin/altcoin convention in early April? Can't think of the name, unfortunately. However, that's certainly not the case here. Devs are working as fast as possible to get the work done on XEL to get the mainnet launched asap

no definitely not. There is no fixed deadline. The dev´s are working really hard and can take all the time they need

Great project, im in from start 
I'm in from... well, whenever it hits an exchange.This is still under development right? (edit: of course it is)
I suspect XEL will be tradeable only when the "supercomputer" is complete?
I'm watching closely... can't wait.

While up to the community, I would see four near-term purposes for the donations pool described in my prior post:
1) Helping ensure an orchestrated mainnet launch
2) Then helping get Elastic listed on exchanges, paying exchange fees
3) Funding a contest, like the contest proposed by Ttookk
4) Fueling other marketing efforts, such as semi-paid volunteers systematically contacting university after university, an idea related to what someone else proposed a while back

This is a great list of initiatives to start on for XELs Mainnet launch.
Speaking towards #4, I have access to some Comp Sci / Business School contacts in the Philadelphia area and would love to do some demonstrations for the schools to see if we could get some researchers interested.
