The only good thing about the crash is that it will take a while before we hear about any alt coins again  Roll Eyes

I have only done cpu mining. If someone could be nice and give me a step by step. Seriously like i am a 2 yr old. On how to set this up for mining?

i am on a laptop with windows 7 if that helps.
what gpu do you have?
for navida its best to use cudaminer
and for amd the cgminer 3.7.2

honestly no clue my computer is a few years old. I was mining dogecoin at 2.khash they had it set up with a step by step site. And well the other coins. Are not really detailed enough for me to get them working.

but i really dont' want to get into the doge anymore. I want to get other coins as well.

its a dell inspiron n5030. I am not expecting to get 1,000,000 coins.. just enough to collect.I enjoy collecting these coins. Kinda a hobby for me.

I wouldn't mind some solo action, but feel free to delay the launch until you and me have slept.  Wink

Yea I want to sleep too and ( 3 am here ) and I am starting to see double.

At this moment I am struggling a lot setting up a pool, I know that a good pool operator will make a pool tomorrow for us and I start to wonder if it might be better to wait on that

You're going to have hard time mining with it (as you may already have noticed)
Most important question is: What brand gpu do you have in it?

[This is really, really off topic thou, maybe you shoud shoot me an email]
Edit: Or just look around the internetz for programs Zero mentioned

This might be what you need if you don't feel like waiting until the official launch  Cool

https://github.com/Xivra/Xivra

I have no idea how to compile that on windows so can't do it myself. If it actually gives you a head start feel free to send me some Xivra you mine while difficulty is low.

If you are trying to figure out github.com/Xivra/Xivra  then you certainly will hit your head against a wall Smiley , that is some old code which I threw there to prevent pre-mining Smiley

I will update the main post in about 30 min as many initial planned settings have been changed after input of several people who have been involved in a successful launch.

Currently I am setting up a new pool and honestly I don't know if I make the deadline I have put myself, Xivra will launch but there could be 1-2 hours delay.

happy mining

130khash allone 1.5 diff  not good no coins

Yeah a pool or else many will be left out on launch. That is a bit hard for a casual miner right there.
