You said qubit becouse you think is the most suitable for cpumining? anyone knows how many coins i could mine for day?

It depends on hashing power of your cpu. myriad.theblockexplorer.com shows approximate coins for hashing power compared to 1Mh/s of scrypt hashing power the device performs. So you can calculate the amount of coins for your device.

thx a lot!

so, if i've understood right, if i choose to mine using qubit, i have:

83.97044986
Coins/Scrypt MH:
1676.9705698314

on this site (https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison#AMD), i see the my cpu more or less have 20/25kh/s. (2,5% than 1000kh/s).

So, i mine more or less 40 (2,5% of 1676.9705698314) myriad @day. Is it right??

I've already offered this advice to the dev and the community couple of weeks ago :

* Replace one algo with a cpu-only algo
* Lower the block reward down to 500 or less
* Lower the total number of coins to be produced.

This needs to be done ASAP!! (MaxCoin is doing it in a couple of days, we should beat them to it!)

Which algo is most profitable for GPUs? Anybody using here HD7970 or R9 280X? How many coins did you generate per day by mining with other skein or Groestl?

I'm running 7950's. 2440khs on http://myr.cryptopool.eu/

First Transaction: 2014-03-19 08:39:03
Latest Transaction: 2014-03-20 09:57:02

Total: 4,693.30175956

Hope this helps. If you go a different route, let me know how it goes.
How many 7950 and what algo?

If i want to start to mine with my cpu (phenom II X4 945 quad core), which algo should i have to use? and, more or less, how many coins i mine for day?

qubit ?

I'm not a cpu miner so I can't pretend I'll give you good advice since from what I know most cpu algos now also have gpu miners but we(the community) are looking into replacing one of the algos with a 100% cpu-only algo .

Why replacing? Why not just adding?

I don't know the internals but that's what the dev said, to be discussed.

Does this coin offer resistance against crypt-asic miners?

Yup it does...it might not resist sha3 asics though, if those were ever adapted to mining these particular sha3 algos.

by the time that is done there will be an algo which can still make gpu mining more profitable and it will most likely be added to myriad at the community's request, that's the beauty of it.

Groestl -35mh/s rig uses 550W . Is this bad ? Cry
Post yours watts per mh/s

42MH @ 700kwh across 2 rigs. Both hooked up to the same meter. Idle, both rigs combined run about 300kwh.

On skein they get about 825MH @ 1040kwh, and scrypt is 2.8MH @ 1400kwh.

External fan 50W , 550-50

So 35 mh/s for 500W looks ok ? Smiley

Honestly, I have no idea. For me, I saw the differential between all three algos and said "looks good!"

How does yours compare with the other algos?

Not comparing with other algo (grostl), am comparing my gpu with yours .  (watt usage)

My card"s give very poor performance with skein.
i got only about 260 Mh/s with skein and 35 Mh/s with grostl.

groestl saves money right off the bat, its like instant boost to the top Smiley

yeah but hogging one algo will make it less profitable so that power saving becomes pretty much useless Smiley isn't that beautifull ?

also has anyone mined on the nimue pools ? they claim they have pools up for all algos but haven't reached out to us so we can put them in the OP so if anyone can confirm what they claim I'll add them to the op.

http://myriad.theblockexplorer.com/

Personally, I find skein to be the most profitable most often whenever I check. It does seem to fluctuate with scrypt occasionally moving to the top, but for the last day or two groestl seems to consistently be near the bottom. I guess everybody's jumping on the groestl train.

because of ahmed's iresitable charm.

Sorry if this has already been answered (or even if this is a basic fundamental of cryptos in general) but when a block gets found in a particular pool, e.g. skein, does the block get shared between the miners of that pool only or between all the miners in all the pools?
a single pool apart from my 3 p2pool's the rewards are split between the miners on all 3 pools
