Are there and addnodes with the right chain? I've tried a number of times to resync the block chain but always end up on the chain @ ~460000 blocks, only finding one connection.

nodes with 4812++ blocks

Live like there is no tomorrow!
Allright. That is great news Wink. Cryptsy is getting better day by day, and I'm glad about that. We all had some issues with Cryptsy the last weeks.

Nice!  I've confirmed, for my account, that my correct XNC balance is now displaying and is available for trade.

FYI, XenCoin is back on Cryptsy since a day (or 2?). Happy trading!

You can use the 'Audit my balance' button on top of the balances page to correct all your balances.

No idea why XNC is not trading on Cryptsy.  I've had a running support ticket with Cryptsy on this issue, which involves my XNC balance there not displaying or being available for trade, etc.  So far, no definitive answer from them nor acknowledgement that XNC is no longer trading, etc.  Very odd situation.

I finally found a post that provided a withdrawal link, which when I clicked on it (while logged into Cryptsy), actually displayed my correct XNC balance.  I haven't attempted a withdrawal via that link as I'm waiting for my Xencoin wallet to fully sync before attempting a withdrawal.

The link to that post is http://bitkoins.com/discussion/61749/cryptsy-has-swept-a-smaller-currency-xencoin-xnc-under-the-rug-heres-how-to-access-it-/p1

The withdrawal link within that post is https://www.cryptsy.com/users/makewithdrawal/51

I guess I don't understand how / why the difficultly isn't changing?  Blocks have a target of 20 seconds, but are taking 5-10 mins to mine.  And still the difficultly is frozen at 0.42 for several months now.  Is there something wrong with the code???  I think this coin may be officially dead....

Lets see the difficulty changes every 9 hours and the block time is 20 secs so... 9 x 60 x 3 = 1620 blocks between retargets...

The next retarget is at 408240... but it should have changed at 406620 and didn't so I'm guessing there is a problem with the code bigtime.. The Dev hasn't been around for months..

As for the coin being dead, well RYC hasn't had a block solved in ages, but cryptsy still trades it...

and yes I'm biased..I'm involved with SXC which did experience a drop, but is maintaining a value of around 3000 per USD.. of course I'm just one of a team of three, with another just starting to join. All of them are interested in SXC only and they have not released a string of failing altcoins...

It's got 11 sites accepting it as a currency, Theres merchandise in production, a new client about to hit the testnet, which took longer than expected because there were bugs to be squashed that most devs ignore, and a whole heap of stuff I can't mention, because again,  some of them are things other Devs don't bother with, but I'd hate to make a promise the team didn't live up to, or let another coin steal a march on us..

My question is do you want to mine a coin that has a lot of hype but no real development or a coin that has real development with little hype?

I share that vision with you Dps Wink. Allthough this looks quite bad for Xencoin. Dont think it still has a future.. And I was too late to trade them on an exchange for a reasonable price.

However, I keep my Xencoins know. Indeed, 'you never know'.

The difficultly has been stuck at 0.42 for over a month now....

I agree that currently it is not much happening with Xencoin but to have at least several thousands of this coin in my collection is a must. You never know.

It seems that we're unable to mine XEN now right? The total is about 5 mhash/s and it seems that there are just invalid blocks.

I am able to mine without problems.
