How many successful businesses are successful with an unfinished product?  You need a better grasp of the timescales of cryptos and the technology involved it seems. Why not go to a crypto that puts marketing first then if thats what you prefer? Me personally, I believe its better to get solid foundations right first.  The devs have enough funds to keep development going, you need to look at the long term picture, the price fluctuations now are not important to Nanos future.

I will say this now and will say it again like before:

Devs should have kept the name RaiBlocks. It was good, unique and catchy. Nano is just basic. Big mistake rebranding and not being consistent with rebranding everything related to RaiBlocks.

I can only say that RaiBlocks was unique name and I like it, Nano is as you say fairly simple, generic name and does not reflect anything unique - we have hardware wallet Ledger Nano and we have some Japanese American singer with the same name.

But I do not think that the reason for such low price is in the rebranding, main reason is BitGrail hack and fact that thousands have lost coins there and not only coins but trust in the project. Also we've seen the evidence that someone was selling large quantities of Nano in last few months, more supply then demand and current BTC price = we get what we have now.

That's interesting. Nano is on coinbase custody radar. As I understand it is coinbase wallet?

It is a service by Coinbase which offer safe storing of coins, and it is intended for institutional clients. Nano is just one of the coins which are under consideration. It has nothing to do with their exchange service or simply said Nano is not in the plan to be listed on Coinbase exchange for now.

That's very nice news! Coinbase adds Ethereum Classic and it's huge step forward for that project. I hope they will choose NANO next as a project with unique code and really huge community!

What a bear market we are losing value consistently than it is really hard to know where it is bottom for this coin. Although the team is active but it didn't giving any relief to this coin to get recover or find the way to get stable.

I'm sure the team is thinking about what's best for this coin. Under these conditions, without knowing how far the Nano goes down, what I do is take the opportunity to buy Nano gradually every the price drops

It'll be a while before recovery, rebranding should have been done after a good base was established. The devs decided to follow the rest of rebranding trends at the time.
i don't think the name has to do anything about low price . you should think twice .
i prefer ( NANO ) .

The price dip during rebranding speaks for itself.

it means this is still bet of the year if we keep patience and show strong faith into this coin. This coin potentially looking very promising and in next rally it will get succeed to restored to new stable floor. Only strong hands will be the winners when it will reach at good floor.

Hi,
I bought Ledger nano and tried to use it with nanovault.io. It retrieved NANO address from Ledger, I sent some coins there, but the problem is that that address does not have Open transaction so nothing gets credited there although the transaction is "hanging in the air". Pls, how do I make nanovault to officially open the account by Open transaction?

I did not try Nanovault in combination with Ledger Nano S for now, but after what I read it seems that things are not working in the best way. I can only give you this link where a similar problem has been solved. I hope you can fix your problem with these tips, and I hope you will post your experience here.

Thank you so much, problem solved. I just stopped using nanovault and switched to vault.nifni.net, it just works. I let me confirm representative and subsequently "receive" block on my ledger and nanos are there. At first I was a little bit scared, because I didn't send small test transaction first and began straight with 120 NANO as first transaction.

Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you managed to solve the problem so I know what to do if something similar happens to me. I was hope that Ledger will make Nano available through new desktop wallet, but even this solution is better then any desktop/online wallet.

Now at $1.50. I can see this going under a dollar in the next few days/weeks. In a year to 18 months we should be around a cent per coin. Finally in about 2 years from now, we will see another run up probably to in excess of $300.

So the trick is to just wait it out and buy when price looks super frightening and hopeless. When bitcoin has a 2 on the front of the usd  price, time to consider buying your Nano. This is all a cycle with bitcoin halving at the center. We are 660 days from the next halving.

That is very possible, as most of others altcoins Nano is just going down and it will not be anything strange if it go under 1$. As you say time will come when price of BTC will go to new ATH, and usually all alts follow that. Maybe we should not wait next BTC halving, approval of ETF would certainly acted positively on BTC price.

New low, yeah! Time to sell. After buying tops of the parabolic rallies, it's only logical to sell when it's going zero. Amirite?

Seriously though, Nano is great and I want it more easy to use in the near future.
