PoW reward will be reduced by 0.2 from the block 2102402 (according to the coin specifications), which is supposed to happen in about 15 days from now on.
The number of miners has increased lately (Blockchain Explorer - Extraction), which is good for the network as both PoW (Proof-of-Work) and PoS (Proof-of-Stake) bring their contribution to the stability of the network. So miners are valuable, even if they are the biggest sellers.
