No - the mining icon (like Litecoin) is not available in the client. If you have everything up and running and have your config file setup, just add gen=1 and you should be good.

The config file should be

rpcuser=username <--- change this
rpcpassword=password <--- change this
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
gen=1

Also: Don't encrypt your wallet if you're going to mine.

If you think you've set up wallet mining correctly, and want to check, open the debug console in the wallet and type "gethashespersec". If it reports back anything other than zero, you're mining.

If you're using Windows you may have more success mining with the AVX/SSSE3 enabled client - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yacoin-windows-7-x64-ssse3-and-avx-support-x86-miner-201027

Thats right I remember it now. I think this was the best thing that could have happened as it scared off all the pump and dumpers and gave it time to slowly develop.
