Has the difficulty of the network dropped since the anti ASIC fork? Can we use EWBF with Zhash (equihash 144.5) now?

Ok but will this forever the case that those figures go towards the ZenCash Core team? Does the community also have a vote on what should be developed next?

This why Team is working on Voting system, because we want active and fair involvement from whole community not only reserved for nodes and big players, rather anyone who has an amount of Zen and wants to contribute this project trough voting.

The ZenCash Treasury and Voting model is the most elegant Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) model in the market.
The increase of 1.5% is for overcoming voters apathy, we are going to pay voters to vote. Those funds are reward for voters, because we want to provide positive initiatives for joining this ecosystem.

Details of the reward mechanism to voters will be released with more details.  IOHK  have delivered prototype version!

Will we or will we not fork away from ASIC's?  It's a simple question that I believe we (GPU Miners) deserve an answer to.  If you want to know why we deserve an answer, I'll be happy to elaborate...

I run a small mom n pop mining operation out of my garage in California.  Nothing the size of your copper colored rigs (those pictures were sexy).  I have been evaluating what to mine and decide to fork away from the equihash algorithm.  I can not compete with Z9s, nor want to pretend to.  I reinvested my mining profits from last year into a zencash securenode.  Mom says I need to payoff the GPUs before I can buy anything else and I don't want to sell my zen securenode to fund a few Z9s.

My plan is to mine PHI2 and CryptoNight-Heavy coins.  We are having a heat wave this summer and my GPUs were running 78 degrees C mining equihash.  Now they are running at a cool 66 degrees C. I could move closer to the beach, but mining ZEN is not enough to pay for a Malibu beach house.

I will still keep my secure node running.  Looking forward to the increased rewards.

If Zencash forks away from ASICs and my GPUs can mine the new algorithm (some of my cards only have 3GB of ram), I will be mining ZEN again.  Otherwise I will be monitoring this thread to keep my secure node up to date.

ZET will fork to japanese aikido algo ~ mine this zen buddah ===>

It happened to me once, I wasn't in my right shoes, the transaction expired within 8 days
At the absolute worst unconfirmed transaction will expire in about 2 weeks, probably less Wink
Thank you for the answer. I've managed to solve out this problem by exporting wallet.dat to another PC and resending same transaction with 0.0001 fee. It was mined in next block, and unconfirmed transaction was overwritten by the new one.

awesome !

Through a variety of different tools, ZenCash has been able to create a system that allows for private transactions with hidden sender/receiver information, total domain fronting, and anonymous data access via a distributed system. You can also use CoinPayments for ZenCash payment processing to start accepting ZEN in your business, through any of our many plugins and integrations.

A recent merchant that many will be familiar with – Pornhub has integrated CoinPayments payment processing into their platform to start accepting ZEN payments, which is an ideal way for customers to maintain their anonymity.

It's a wrap!
Zen's mandatory software upgrade executed flawlessly! The updated software included significant code improvements and adjusted the rewards to add a new node class: Super Nodes. Special thanks to our miners and node operators! https://zencash.com/supernodes/

is anyone buying the 128gb fpga? because if were forking its better that the team make our own bitstream so miners get the bitstream and we can all mine using fpga and not only the anti asic pushing fpga miners(while they keep the bitstream to themselves or have monopoly of 4% dev fee on bitstream plus 1% miner dev fee lol and they advocate decentraliztion while they monopolize the bitstream market)

like how btcz forked the dev there made a miner software with no dev fee, well we all know gpu is going to the garbage anyway so if were anti asic then were pro fpga so maybe devs can make a bitstream and make of fpga for us miners of zencash?

I don't want to sound like I'm being difficult.  I'm simply trying to make sure I "understand" you correctly...

What does the chain manipulation may not requiring a mandatory upgrade have to do with the question that was asked?
"However, potential solutions to mitigate chain manipulation from attacks is being worked on and may not require a mandatory upgrade"
This line is taken from this text:
https://blog.zencash.com/mandatory-upgrade-zen-2-0-14-super-nodes/

This is related to petencinal changes as our answer on 51% attack, first actions maybe won't need hard fork for implementation..

But lets focus now on this fork,  and implementation of Super Nodes. I think that nobody wants disastrous forks as result of rushing to get some changes implemented without testing. We need some time to get feedbacks from newely created platform, then we can move on..

will zen change the algo?
the hardfork scheduled for today is about the supernodes ? any update on the asic resistance debate?
supernodes and change in the block rewards to increase the secure node portion to 10%, add 10% for super nodes and increase the treasury to 10%.

Zen 2.0.14 is the update previously planned before the Equihash ASIC announcement and blockchain attack events.  The time frame to include any new changes was too short to address these issues. However, potential solutions to mitigate chain manipulation from attacks is being worked on and may not require a mandatory upgrade.  At this time we are staying on our regular deprecation schedule. All Miners and Node Operators must upgrade to Zen 2.0. 14 by block 344700.

What question?

Will zen change the algo?

Also, are there plans or are there not plans TO FORK AWAY FROM ASIC's?  Can we get a definitive answer on this or not?  Murgut's question about changing the algo regarded whether or not we will actually fork away from ASIC's.

This is statement from the Team regarding changing of algo, and there are no new information so far, and this is all I can tell at this moment regarding  algo changes.  Smiley

If there are any coin changes made, will coin holders be safe keeping our coins on The ZENCash GUI Desktop Wallet instead of storing them on Binance and relying on Binance to keep up-to-date with changes in the coin?

Also, is the 0.80.5 wallet version the current one and still works?

Upgrade your Swing Wallet to use the latest 2.0.14 binaries for the mandatory software upgrade.
