I agree. You can really get a good read of someone's character by how they respond to a crisis. This dev team responded very well, and they seem very committed.

What dev team?Huh There has been no coding since Joshua Yabut left..........

Just a question: this zero-knowledge encryption is the same kind of encryption used in the Mega servers?

maybe zencash is the next ethereum Cool

Developer obviously talked what will be different from other coins and where we are heading..Those comparations are childish.

Well maybe not next ZCASH but it will become more popular when masternodes start working. It is still relatively young coin for any kind of big predictions but certainly has nice potential.
Sorry for the childish 'comparations'. Lol the irony.

ZenCash has a few strengths. It has committed devs - that hasn't shown through the last fortnight because of the nightmare resulting from one individual's conduct - but over months it should show through. Masternodes also should definitely offer support for price increase, although my view is the number of coins required to be held needs to be higher than the 42 so far suggested to effectively support price.

I thought the Zen dev team response to and resolution of movrcx's departure was very well executed.  They quickly gathered the appropriate resources, determined the root cause, developed a fix, and successfully implemented it all while being transparent with the community.  Their behavior and performance during a crisis speaks strongly.  A smooth secure node implementation is the next step to rebuilding confidence.  If successful, it will hopefully support higher prices.

Zcash has lots of support, and also a great developer team. At about $400 a coin though, my view is that ship has already sailed - I personally would find it higher risk to invest in Zcash at $400 versus ZenCash at around $8.80. Zcash could spike some more, it could even double, but in my view it's got more room to crash too. I expect ZenCash to stabilise and rise slowly over the short term - when incentivised nodes come in or other developments, that's when I see it rising faster.

big difference. zcash has financial baking from big players. zencash has the financial backing of the underworld when and if they release something that is not zcl 2.0. Until then is just zcl with a different name.

I started to Zencash mining. Which pool is the best for that? There are several as I see. Wanna use bitfire pool for that.
All are good.
You must flee from suprnova.
Suprnova = Thieves
I know Ocminer (suprnova) for a long time, as miner i never ever had any problems. Also he is involved in code checking so he is first line of defence from dev scammers which like to hide their premine. Also few time he was indicated on scams..
He is very valuable member of this community!
From my experience payouts from suprnova is lower than other pools. I have nothing to suprnova so its just my opinion.
Compare payouts over 24h and if it's lower i'll gladly pay you the difference
Also i do not know other place(pool) where you can get any of answers so fast as it is case with Suprnova..

I agree, been with suprnova for years, the most honest person in the business.

Congratulations for the good recovery, zencash really became the strong value between zcl and Zen, a" big" name leaving doesn't mean anything when this person is not trust worthy, if anything it's a good thing for Zen  , and it seems big traders agree

i got even down to 50% of what was monitored on whattomine when i were mining ZCL. I dont say that you should pay me, but that was over 2 days of mining, then i went mining on other pool. Now mining ZEN on suprnova is more accurate but still few percent lower last 24 hours, but few days before it was accurate and even higher for some percent even up to 10 and maybe little more sometimes, so i cant complain at mining ZEN at suprnova.

any eta on running a zen node with windows?

I'd imagine that's a pretty low priority. You might want to brush up on Linux.

If zend.exe and zen-cli.exe are compiled off the same code as the github source with node support, then it should be and directions for the Linux guide are a few pages back that could be adapted.

Would be nice if dev would confirm that the code is also in the exe and not just in the git repo for Linux, or if you must compile yourself to get a Win node..
