You can modify bitcoin source to observe the network. Its C++. Basicly profit will drop quickly until the point where it is unprofitable. For me the server is free and I believe some others may have spare servers. Time will tell.

How to know the profitability of a ZEN node?

I know this is a function of the number of nodes. But would you have a graphic or a place where you could follow this evolution of profitability?

In any case, it's a successful launch! Congratulations to the whole team!

This is just the beginning... Wink

How can I take part in node reward program? What   requirements have it got? Is there full node counter somewhere?

A server with about 4GB of RAM and optional domainname and SSL certificate. Server operations of course and inbound port open.

what are you guys mining on anyways? anything better than suprnova?

At least these pools are mining Zen:

Miningspeed
Zenmine.Pro
Cryptobroker
Minez.Zone
ZenCash.Cloud
Miningpool.io
Blockoperations

The list is far from exhaustive. I'd maybe take a look at Minez.Zone, Blockoperations or Miningspeed, if you're looking for a Suprnova replacement.

Well, the JP Morgan partnership boosted ZEC from $75-80 to $300 at first, and it's been hovering around $250 and due to rise. I think it;s a hell of a boost in confidence for big investors soon (I'm not talking penny traders) which would continue to push it. Snowball effect from there, similar to BTC and ETH.

While you lay out some hopes for ZEN, I'd still be grateful for some analysis. How would ZEN have a solid future in a context like the above? How wrong am I?

I agree with you. I only hold BTC and ETH (bought at 25 USD and 10 USD). This coin doesnt seem to have anything valueable. I only read the topic, because I have a spare computer in the DC and keep a node running.

How do you actually argue that prediction as a sensible one? Genuine question. Some would argue that precisely because ZEC has grown so much in popularity (and value) due to the JP Morgan partnership and also HushPool adding it as the only altcoin for mining besides Bitcoin, then ZEC is predicted to grow steadily with less volatility, and that most z-derivatives would gradually die off. The tech being solid isn't necessarily indicative, what counts being the mood. Money makes money and the same can be said about trust/preference - the coins who got some attention will continue to attract more attention. I certainly don't want the market to end up dominated by 2-3 powerful coins, but these things have a liberal bias up to a point (miners will migrate towards what's more profitable at the moment, the plethora of penny traders buying what's more popular and stable, etc). What do you see as ZEN's potential to attract enough attention to change the community's mood and big players' trust/preference? The tech can't be the only thing -- plenty of coins have good and nice tech.
Miners will always follow profitability, this is right, but try to mine any coin that is listed in https://whattomine.com/ you will find out all coins have miners. Even forgont coins have supportive miners, who at lest traying to prolong inavitable..
ZEN is new and it is cheap alternative to ZCASH, im sure this can can be quite convincing for some people. By the way all this is nothing without support of comunity, team and community will lead it to succes.
JP Morgan partnership..This has only potential of exploit, PnD., endless game. Nothing more, and nothing good for investors.

This project is so cool! I'd been having fever dreams about $zen for the past couple weeks and cursing myself for not doing the 1:1 with ZCL on bittrex. I bought in what I could afford  (about 50) today when it dropped on bittrexx. I am pumping the hell out of $zen on twitter, any donations are greatly appreciated! znY94wfsR4HSgfFstJyep9EAjKEyS8nTX4j

MineZ.Zone - 50 55 ZEN COIN GIVEAWAY - UP TO 20% BONUS TO MINING PAYOUTS!!!

Due to the current concentration of mining power in a single pool exceeding 51% of the network hash rate, MineZ.Zone is offering an incentive to get miners to move to a smaller pool and spread the hashrate around for the safety of the network.  @movrcx has kindly donated 50 ZEN to this effort to help reduce centralization of mining on the chain.

You read right, we will be giving away 50 ZEN in bonuses to our miners.  Some time in the next 24 hours we'll be announcing the beginning of the first of 3 bonus rounds.  The way it will work is this:

  • Each bonus round will have a bonus pool.  Round 1: 15 ZEN, round 2: 15 ZEN, round 3: 20 ZEN.
  • To qualify for the bonus you MUST HAVE BEEN MINING WITH US BEFORE WE ANNOUNCE THE BEGINNING of the round.
  • This means you've got between now and when we announce to start mining and qualify for your bonuses.

For the 1st round:
Miners will get a 20% bonus to their payouts for every block found in the bonus round.

The round will continue for as many blocks as it takes to use up the bonus pool. The very last block in the bonus round will be adjusted proportionally to the amount left over in the bonus pool.  i.e. if a miner would have gotten 10% of the total bonuses for the block they'll get 10% of what's left in the bonus pool for the last block.

At the end of each round the qualified miners list WILL BE RESET.  There'll be a break of 12-48 hours before the next round is announced and anyone who mines with us during that period will qualify for the next bonus round and be eligible for the bonus again.

We may change the bonus percentages for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.  This will change the length of the round but by mining through the entire round you will gain the same bonus.

The simplest way to ensure you get the maximum bonus is to start mining with us now and stick with MineZ.Zone through the entire bonus period.

** Bonus payments will be calculated and paid at the end of the bonus round.

Because the bonus payments will require new code to be written to calculate them correctly we'll be generating the payment scripts then reviewing them manually before running them.  So bonus payments will come a bit later than the actual payouts for the blocks.  We're doing this so we can be certain everyone is paid fairly and correctly.

Stay tuned to the MineZ.Zone news page.  We'll announce the start of the bonus rounds here but the official announcement will be when it's announced on our site.

Update: Thanks to @smrtz for donating an additional 5 ZEN to the bonus pool

WTF? ZEN have an airdrop?
I have 100+ ZEN on BITTREX.
Where it from?
It some kind of airdrop from BITTREX?

Were you holding Zclassic?

Oh, thanks.
I have read about the fork.
Just some panic about possible error at Bittrex, where would be lost to other coins.
