Do you have to hold ZCL at block 110,000 or is it enough to just have ZCL before the block, even if the wallet is now empty of ZCL

you need to have ZCL in your wallet or bittrex before block 110,000.

Which price predictions for ZCL and ZEN after 23May?

Will it a similar value?
zen may peak to 15$ and then the bear market will begin due to inflation and hype fading. zclassic returning to at most 5$.

@kpierce77 that's cool if you have experience.

I just know a lot of people are clueless. They'll fail at simple tasks like:

Code:
(g) Challenge response will be a combination of two things:
i. Send a shielded message to SecureNodeHQ containing public t address and
GNUnet document location in message field.
ii. Publish a document to GNUnet signed with private t address including:
A. Public t address of staking Zen, which will also be used for reward
payment.
B. SSL certificate and IP address.
C. Block header from blockchain.
D. Other information that may be necessary to make sure it is a unique
server.

Then they'll get upset that they aren't getting payouts Wink

This is true. But I believe someone will put together a detailed STIG for nodes. I would help test.

No one knows how much ZEN a secure node will make in a day.

Keep in mind most nodes won't qualify for secure node status. You actually have to do things to get approved. You can read this in the whitepaper.   https://zencash.io/assets/Zen%20White%20Paper.pdf

The secure nodes receive 3.5% of the rewards.
1440 minutes per day
Blocks average every 2.5 minutes.
Means 576 blocks per day * 12.5 Zen per block = 7,200 ZEN created per day

The secure node reward is 3.5% of that 7200 ZEN per day. So on average, 252 ZEN will be divided up per day among ALL secure nodes.

When you say "won't qualify", below's the list of secure node requirements taken from the whitepaper.  I guess I'm wondering what items below would be difficult to achieve, compared to say running a Dash masternode?  If I have a computer running at 100% uptime with 16GB of RAM, is there anything else special that my system would need to have to qualify as a secure node, based upon the items below?  Also, what if somebody wanted to run 10 secure nodes.  What would be the recommendations for running multiple secure nodes?  A VPS?

Basic infrastructure functions performed by Secure Nodes:
(a) Ensure all network communications are encrypted between nodes.
(b) Maintain full Zen blockchain.
(c) Provide certificate-based encryption connections for ZenCash wallet applications.
2. Secure Nodes meeting the requirements outlined below receive 3.5% of block coinbase
reward in a way that rewards uptime at full functionality:
(a) Operate node software on a capable system as specified by infrastructure requirements.
10
• Recommended memory is more than 4 GB.
(b) Maintain entire ZenCash blockchain on the system.
(c) Provide a valid SSL certificate to the ZenCash Node software to use for communicating
with other nodes and wallets.
(d) Keep at least 42 ZenCash on the server in a t address for staking.
(e) Monitor the SecureNode channel for challenge messages from SecureNodeHQ
approximately every 10 minutes (in a z transaction message field).
(f) Respond to challenge with identifying information of the Secure Node.
D. Other information that may be necessary to make sure it is a unique
server.
(h) Each Zen Secure Node must also be a peer on the GNUnet systems to publish
the challenge response anonymously and support the anonymous publications
from other elements of the system.
(i) Other potential requirements that may come up in future to allow ZenCash
system to use the Secure Nodes for consensus and computing power.

Does anybody have any clue how many ZenCash somebody might get when running a masternode? Like, 1 per day, 1 per 3 days, 1 per week, etc.? This will really decide if I want to buy a lot of ZClassic or not.

Guys its true that Zen will have masternodes 50 zen by 1 masternode??
It's called a Secure Node in ZenCash lingo. 42 Zen is required, and so are some other things.

Part 1 of setting up a Secure VPS is here: https://blockoperations.com/build-zencash-secure-node-part-1-prepare-vps/

Here is a quick guide on setting up a secure node. If you want a more detailed guide you will have to wait until I write it up. That will take a day or so:
Setup a secure ubuntu 16.04 LTS system
Make sure you have more than 4G memory, use swap
Install an SSL certificate and script it to be available to regular user
Clone and install ZenCash zen application
   Configure .conf files
   Run Zencash zen application
Set up Zencash to restart automatically
Send >=42 ZenCash to a t_address on the node
Set up GNUnet publishing and test by publishing something on GNUnet
Create a script to check a z_address channel for new information. When there is new info, create a z_transaction and send it. The have the script publish some information to GNUnet
Set up a cronjob to run the script every 2 minutes.

The main software is ready, you can find it here: https://github.com/zencashio/zen

Thx so much I'm going to buy 2 mn

I managed to run it. I left all night to sync. And I managed to move them from the eleos wallet to bittrex address.

Confirm that hold ZCL to Bittrex split 1:1 in ZEN before block 110.000 ? .

Yes, if you leave your ZCL on Bittrex when chain split happens at block 110,000 you'll get ZenCash sometime after Zen launches in your Bittrex ZEN wallet.

They said they would put ZCL wallets into maintenance mode 2 hours before block 110,000 happens.

Have a problem .

Eleos wallet v. 0.4 on windows 10 is stuck a activating best chain .

Have zcl inside and have a backup .

Any idea ? .

because it sucks.on win7 pro it doesn't even connect (no is no firewall, I have zec and zcl java wallets that work fine) and gives no errors . It sure is a bad start considering the developer is a ZEN developer.

Trey restarting the computer, and also make sure you're not on a network that has any firewall/ports blocked.  I've seen this activity mostly when I'm travelling and not on my home network, a lot of wallets hang at roughly that point because many off-the-shelf firewalls block blockchains.

If that doesn't work.... I dunno, could always try restoring from the backup on a separate computer.

Bittrex commits to supporting ZenCash for for Zclassic held on the exchange:

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000201171-Support-for-the-ZEN-Hardfork

The ZenCash (ZEN) network is anticipated to launch on May 23rd at 5pm PDT (0:00 UTC) as a hard fork from Zclassic (ZCL).  Bittrex users will be credited 1 ZEN for each Zclassic (ZCL) held in their exchange accounts at Zclassic block 110,000.  The block is estimated to occur at approximately 22:20 EDT (05:20 UTC) 5/18/2017.

Bittrex will credit the ZEN tokens and enable the market when we and the ZEN team agree the new proof of work mining network is stable. The ZCL market will be re-enabled and all orders cancelled within 24 hours after the fork block.

Note: Bittrex will be closing our ZCL wallet and market within two hours of the fork block to take accurate snapshots of balances. If your deposits are not settled (e.g. marked as pending) by 21:00 PDT 5/18/2017, you may not be credited with ZEN.

Please note that the full 3 day gap between block 110,000 and the May 23rd launch will be used to generate and distribute the ZenCash genesis block, which importantly implements replay attack mitigation in the new client release.

We would like to thank the ZEN team for working closely with us and addressing our concerns.  Distribution through hard forks like this one are not typically supported by Bittrex but strong replay protection and a commitment by both teams to maintain the ZCL and ZEN forks and their independent missions swayed our decision making.

The Zen team has put out a detailed description of the process:
