For one they open on the 22nd so i don't see any way of confirming it, second we don't know if they actually have taken all legal avenues as they stated.

However this would be quiet interesting!

A way of confirming it would be a word from Zetacoin devs saying if they got contacted by Zetorg devs for instance. I asked it because the account that was used to post was created today, which raises some doubts. We will see in 10 days if those doubts were founded or not. I really wish it is real though! I just became suspicious in this world of scam :-)

There were millions of ZET under .000001 BTC available at cryptsy during the 1st run up to .00012
This thing was trading tons between .0000009 & .0000003 for a couple months prior. I think it might have gotten down to .00000015 or so.
Zeta is much more spread out than a few of you guys seem to think.

Regular pool mining has been great. The recent downward trend and the latest block halving have cut into miner's profit but that also equates to less coins being sold by them. If the push down continues I will scoop them up from time to time. This has been and continues to be an outstanding coin to trade. The fast transactions only add to that fact. btc38 removing their upcoming 'cottage coins' section probably has a small part to do with the price reduction as well as other factors.

Not many ZET at market and it appears they're being slowly bought up at bter.

Have always liked this coin. Still mining it. Not sure where giskard has been the last couple weeks.
What happens when it reaches the minimal block reward will be interesting.
All these coins are a gamble, including BTC.

Recommence squabbling.

I seen the price drop today at a rate I couldn't turn away from and bought up as many as I could! Only wish I didn't buy last week when they were higher.

multipool actually mining ZET right now. it has the highest profitability.

as ASIC only function is to mine sha-256 coin and some of old ASIC would find it hard to mine BTC, ZET would be ideal for these ASIC.

so ZET always got support. I find that a crucial feature. there many coins out there die away due to no miners.

yes
The profitability of Zeta is and remains one of the lowest at multipool.us. From my perspective, this means that either the price should go up (not likely now) or difficulty down. What I would like to know is what the current difficulty is, what the expected next difficulty is and when this next difficulty is reached.

so, a few people have millions of coins, and now block reward is 7.8 coins... whit 50GH is about 650 coins a day... and when block reward is falling down to 1 ZET, nobody will mine anymore..
The block reward should have been 1 ZET per block from day one and never changing, that would have been far more interesting than what has been done. As it stands, ZET is the biggest insta-mine alt coin of all time.

Price drop ... do you see this as a trend that will continue? Does it have to do with the soft cap being reached?

Who the fucks bright idea was it to release an ASIC-friendly altcoin?

Someone who owns an ASIC or two perhaps?

This coin is shit.

If I'm correct, the 160 million Zetacoins have already been mined. That makes it an interesting coin to watch the next 2 years. The fast issue of coins followed by a semi-fixed total amount enables early adaptors to get a large share of the coins while value may be enhanced by the semi-hardcap in the future.

We have already reached this soft hardcap. If Zetacoin can get some actual use, this could get interesting.

It remains to be seen whether 1 Zeta per block is sufficient to ensure a safe level of hashing. In theory, it only takes one miner to do all the hashing work as long as the difficulty is low enough. Again: an interesting concept for an altcoin. I am anxious to see how this will play out.

This coin was launched in the summer right?  It states 160mil coins in the 1st year, why didn't it state the first 6 month?

When a coin is mined if the dif doesn't adjust fast enough, block times get smaller. So if the target was 2 min but dif didn't adjust fast enough block times went all the way down to 10 seconds. You see this in btc too, like when a pool gets 5-6 blocks in a row all within a min or two.

So no dev can predict exactly how many blocks will be mined unless the dif adjust every block..which gets nasty.

And for ZET, it was released and many asics hit it hard the first day. :-)~

Hey there just farmed some coins, but have a question, can anybody explain this to me?

I think there is something going wrong, or am i wrong?
Of course, there will be a transaction fee, but there are all coins allready mined... Who should mine Zetacoins, when there is a reward for only one Coin? Pooled mining will die...

Regards
Pseyco

All coins not mined. ZET has a built in 1 mil per year inflation after the first 160m
