Once again for all the helpful advice and encouragement.

I think this thread has morphed away from one suitable for the meta board, so I'll stop posting discussions about the videos in here. I'll start to optimise some short Bitcoin videos, and open a thread on the Bitcoin discussion board. Hopefully thiose will help others to start channels on Youtube, and this will popularise Bitcoin. I think we need to do more to bring Bitcoin to the people with unusual banking requirement ( Nigel farage perhaps ? ). This will probably mean using lightnong, and I haven't used that, so please join me on my journey onto the lightning network.

Man, first of all I must say that your videos are amazing and you look really great in those videos. I must say that you look quite good with beard and there is no need to shave it as you have mentioned in one of your posts. Other than that I think you are a inspirational figure for all those people who are into the world of Bitcoin because if someone at this age can contribute to Bitcoin then why not the young ones?

I truly appreciate your efforts and I must say that best of luck with your YouTube channel, and I'm quite sure that I will be among the first subscribers of your channels because I'm truly interested to watch your videos and learn from those videos. It would be a pleasure for me to learn from someone like you JetCash!

Here are a couple of initial videos...

While it's nice to see a well-polished video, edited and shot in a well-produced location, it's also nice to see a video shot in a real life scenario, with the person being who they are, it gives a lot of originality to the content
Being an octagenarian and a Bitcoin fan, I believe these details are just details anyway (about the beard for example)

The improvements I think it's cool for you to do is to try to reduce the external sound (maybe it's a setting with your microphone or app you're using)
With time and a few videos later you will improve yourself

Your idea of explaining Bitcoin without going so deep into the technical details may attract more people
When you make your youtube channel I will definitely subscribe and follow  Wink

Here are a couple of initial videos. They are unedited, and shot in the Sainsbury's cafe. There is a long way to go before I get to the quality I want to submit to Youtube. I think the beard needs to go, and I need to stop slouching and be a bit more alert. MP4 may not be the best format to use. I'd like to improve the sound recording to avoid having to run it through Audacity and then having to resync it.
This one is just an introductory chat - https://rvshorts.com/test-videos/test1.mp4
and this one is more Bitcoin specific - https://rvshorts.com/test-videos/bitcoin1.mp4

Playing those on a smartphone is rubbish, so I'd advise you not to try it.

Thanks for the good wishes.

It doesn't take much energy to be on this forum. I gave up on flame wars and becoming a keyboard warrior some time ago. I just use the ignore button now, and come here for fun and education. I enjoy trying new projects, and right now I'm working on starting a youtube channel. I'm locked inside the mysteries of audacity to try to improve my voiceovers. I chipped a tooth some time ago, and I'm trying to reduce sibilance and optimise the sound.  I'm also wondering if I should keep my beard, or chop it off and tgry to appear young and vibrant - fat chance of that. I may join a content producers club, and I want to create a variety of videos to use for opening discussions and to gain some advice. One of them will be a Bitcoin opinion, and I'm wondering which topic would be best. One I've thought of is why the Bitcoin blockchain is immutable, and another could be how a virtual product like bitcoin can be a hard asset. Both of those topics seem to be widely misunderstood, and badly explained in general.

Any time I see the name Jet Cash, well, what really comes to mind is, "Oh, that oldest man on the Bitcointalk forum." I have come across that in a few threads, and even on this thread, the only member with a "red half moon" also mentioned that you're an octogenarian, which still gets me wondering how you still have the energy to spend some time here for fun. but it's very cool. By the way, I did forgot to say "happy birthday in arrears🎉" I am late for the party, but I believe it was all good. I wish you more good health.

Cheers 🥂, Dr.Bitcoin_Strange 👺👺

I've just checked my premium bond prize list, and I've won another £50. It wasn't one of the new bonds, but one of the block I purchased right at the beginning. It's come at a handy time, as I got the Volvo estate car running yesterday, and it's going for a test in a few days. I'll need to tax and insure it as well, and then I'll see if it any good for wekend camping. It should be fine, as the rear load area is 8 feet long. If it is comfortable, I'll add a leisure battery, and stay in some of the nature parks. The van is too high to go under some of the entrance barriers. Hopefully, the lesisure battery will allow me to keep in touch with Bitcoin, and bitcoin talk. The big problem could be the absence of a signal on my mobile. I read somewhere that there is a satellite alternative to the normal internet isps, so I need to research that. Unless you guys know about it of course.

Well it's nearly the end of the month, and it will be interesting to see if buying more premium bonds has resulted in me getting another prize.
I did post some time ago that I'm saving up to try to buy a nice chunk of woodland to preserve. Not only would that help the environment, but it would help me to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Bitcoin has started to getr interesting ( well the price movements are). I fancy doing a bit more scalping, but I'm not sure which exchange is the best for UK residents. I used to use Coinbase, but they bbecame a bit difficult, so I gave up on them. I might start a thread to try tro get some advice from you guys.

Well I've hit another birthday, and it's lonely in the old fogie team. I'm thinking of starting an octogenarian group here, but I don't know of any other potential members. Why don't you guys recruit some of the elders you know? Maybe I should invite Biden. Smiley

It's too late to say but still want to say happy birthday Grandpa, You are certainly an important and old man but I think it takes no age to love Bitcoin and you are a respected man, we wish you well so that you can stay with us for more time.

Once a man, twice a child!
It is personal but I'd like to know did you have any plan for bitcoins you own in future? Inheritance to your sons, daughters or anyone you love.
I ain't sure he's going to be open as to gift you a response to that, and rightly so. Privacy issues.

I know @theymos and @fillippone would be around this range...
I don't have an idea what Fillippone's age is but I know theymos is a very young dude. He should be in his late 30s, not anywhere close to OP.

Happy Close to a Century Celebration, Jetcash. Those of us coming up the ladder appreciate your strength of character and vibrancy.

So where do you think the price of Bitcoin will be when I'm a nonagenarian. There will be 3 halvings before that happens, so the price should be stratospheric.
Jet Cash, I hope you get there in good health my man.  I'm a little late to your birthday party, but I wanted to give a little howdy-do.

For some reason I thought you registered at least a year or two after I did, but I just checked and I'm way off.  I guess you just appeared on my radar a while after I registered (or my memory is just shot).  I do remember all you did to help newcomers and those who don't speak English very well.  You created a couple of websites for that purpose, but for the life of me I can't remember what year that was in.

As to what bitcoin's price is going to be when you hit 90....don't ask me, because it's probably a 99.99% certainty I'll be wrong by a wide margin.  It's happened every single time I've tried to predict the price more than a week out, so I've just given up the predictions altogether.  But you mentioned the halvings; I don't think they play as large a role as people think as far as price influence goes.  If it was a certainty that bitcoin (or any coin whose mining reward decreases by half) became more valuable right after one, that would be free money for anyone who bought it.  I'm telling y'all, it just ain't that easy to make money.  The halvings are already priced in or won't have the effect many think they will.

I even see Youtubers telling people that bitcoin's supply drops by half after a halvening.  That there says that there's some serious misunderstanding about what's going on, so I'm just saying.  Anyway, I clink my glass to you Jet Cash.  If you're still living the van life I hope it's treating you well.

Heath is such a broad topic, but here are a few of my gidelines.
- Take the stairs and not the lift or escalator.
- Walk quickly to keep up your metabolic rate.
- Keep your head erect.
- Don't smoke of vape.
- Don't drink cheap alcohol.
- Keep away from doctors unless you have a medical emergency, and drugs ( recreational and pharmaceutical).
- Don't let them inject you with fake vaccines.
- Avoid sugar and sugar substitutes.
- Don't eat seed oils or ultra-processed foods.
- Take your shirt off to gain natural vitamin "D".
- Try to eat grass fed meat and dairy products.
- Check to see if the fruit and veg you buy has been sprayed with chemicals to prolong shelf life, and avoid those that have.

There are probably loads more tips, but those will do for a start.
Health is wealth. Whatever you eat is what sustains you in life for a healthy long span. Everyone has to be mindful of what they eat in life. Thanks for sharing these health tips of yours with us who want to grow healthy as you till old age. In other words, happy birthday Grandpa Jet Cash, I didn't know you to be this old and healthy. Much respect for you sir

Well I'm in such august company here, that I would hesitate to give anyone advice on Bitcoin.
With regards to other investment advice, I'd pass on Nathan Rothschild's advice - don't try to buy at the bottom, and always sell too soon.

Belated happy birthday!

I was wondering if you have some advice that you could share to bitcointalk members especially to those people at their early 20's. It could be related to bitcoin, investing, health, career or anything that comes to your mind that you deemed extremely beneficial in the long run.

And I'd love to hear those from you  Cheesy

Happy birthday sir, I am very happy to see a sweet Papa still romancing his keys, when my grandma was alive at age 79 she doesn't sight clearly even to operate her phone were like someone trying to pass a thread on the head of a needle that was how she struggles with her phone, though she managed it to 92 years old before she finally give up. Though she was my best friend and playing mate, gist mate.

I got interested in Bitcoin early, because I knew that virtual assets could be hard assets, and Bitcoin had the potential to do this. Very few people seem to understand the possibility of virtual assets being hard assets. For example, they believe that fiat currencies and houses are hard assets, but they are less permanent than Bitcoin. Maybe I'll start a thread to discuss the reasons for my belief in Bitcoin.

Please do create the thread because I believe it will be very educative, maybe I can't wait to see what you would put down there.
Again happy birthday sir, I wish you more strength and energy to live more longer.
