It's been fun, and with 60 years computing experience, it was interesting. I wish I had joined the forum a bit earlier. ASICs were just becoming popular when I joined, and I didn't want to invest the money in one. That was a bad mistake. Smiley

I got interested in Bitcoin early, because I knew that virtual assets could be hard assets, and Bitcoin had the potential to do this. Very few people seem to understand the possibility of virtual assets being hard assets. For example, they believe that fiat currencies and houses are hard assets, but they are less permanent than Bitcoin. Maybe I'll start a thread to discuss the reasons for my belief in Bitcoin.

Wow, happy birthday Jet Cash!!!
I didn't know we had an octagenarian user here on the forum, I am amazed  Cheesy
I have grandfather and grandmother who are 86, but since they didn't work with computers, they don't have many skills with technology, let alone BTC

I'm very curious and hope you will create the thread, I have heard opinions from just about every type of person about Bitcoin and the reasons for having cryptos, but never from an octagenarian, so tell us about your career with computers and why did you end here in Bitcointalk
The opinions of older people are very valuable to me (always was)  Cool

Well I've hit another birthday, and it's lonely in the old fogie team. I'm thinking of starting an octogenarian group here, but I don't know of any other potential members. Why don't you guys recruit some of the elders you know? Maybe I should invite Biden. Smiley

Lol @Jet Cash and a very big congratulations on your new age. I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't gotten any pal yet in the octogenarian group. I guess there are other members here on this forum who are also in there 80's but wouldn't come out of the shadows due to some personal reasons. But you've done well pal I wish you more and more years even up to your supercentenarian Grin

Hi Jet Cash. Happy birthday.
At your age like now, of course I wish you the best.

Anyway, Biden is too young compared to your age stated on the profile that doesn't need to be invited. Maybe inviting one slightly older than Biden is more suitable Smiley Just kidding.

By the way, did you know that I, who am younger, can still read the writings of an experienced person like you.

Happy birthday dear Bitcoiner friend!
I wish you a new year full of good times and relaxation.

Grin I think we could also invite this one to the forum and the club, even if he's still a bit too young perhaps:

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. Now, the problem will occur in 9 years - nonagenarian sounds a bit iffy. Smiley

So where do you think the price of Bitcoin will be when I'm a nonagenarian. There will be 3 halvings before that happens, so the price should be stratospheric.
Firstly congrats to your new age @81 and hope we all still see you as active as you are now at this stage #nonagenarian, because that would be a massive milestone in one life, in this part of world where am from such acheivement are rarely seen. And for the price of BTC as of that stage I would hopefully speculate it to be around a 100k plus  Grin

happy birthday Jet cash, i don't think problem will occur in 9 years time because the hand writing show that you will still experiencing more than 10 years before problem will occur.

I think the price of BTC will be around $100,000 because you have experienced $67,000 before the price decreased to $26,000, and there is a hope that the price of BTC will reach $100,000 or $200,000 before the end of 9 years or 10 years.

Let's all gather here and say Happy Birthday to Grandpa JetCash.
Being 81 and still on this forum is a great thing.

Even my grandfather at 81 is senile and can't use a cell phone or any device.
But Grandpa JetCash is still here and greeting us all.

We wish Grandpa JetCash good health.
Other members who have advanced age in this forum should certainly join and create a club together in this forum.

Not your keys, not your coins!
Happy birthday Jet Cash!

It is your 81st birthday and you still have very fresh mind, kudos.

It is personal but I'd like to know did you have any plan for bitcoins you own in future? Inheritance to your sons, daughters or anyone you love.
If you want to make your bitcoins as their inheritance asset, what are your plans to execute it in future?

I believe it is helpful for people who want to leave their bitcoins as gifts to their family members too. If you feel good, please share what you plan to do.

Happy 81st birthday to our oldest member who is still active in every sense of the word🎂🍾🥂

As far as I know, another member could join you in that club, although it seems to me that he is a little younger than you @philipma1957

I read few of your posts yesterday about that satoshi glymp  which i really do not understand then i checked you are a legendary member and most of the legends do not start discussion with solid background information, well then i check your age and i was like nah you must wrote it wrong by intentions because many members have wrote it wrong and many wrote them like in negative numbers but i think if you are celebrating your birthday then you are really an octogenarian and i have no other person in our local community who is an octogenarian maybe our local community member Sayeds56 may falls into that club because once, i saw there picture on tg profile, how i knew he was him that's another story. (Syed56 no disrespect, by making you 80+ years old as many dudes feels it like disrespect when they are related to big ages while they are not.).

Very very congratulations 🎉 sir, i hope you may live a long, healthy, wealthy and happy life. Keep growing and sharing love. I am bookmarking this thread if more octogenarians join here.

Happy birthday, Jet Cash, It's another year added to your age, and it's good you are actually making good use of your time; it being well spent is all that matters.

I'm thinking of starting an octogenarian group here, but I don't know of any other potential members. Why don't you guys recruit some of the elders you know? Maybe I should invite Biden. Smiley
Maybe Warren Buffett, Dick Cheney, and Bernie Sanders would also be great members of such a group since they are all in their 80s and are US citizens. As for this forum, you are the oldest that I'm aware of. There might be others, but their ages aren't public.
